[What's the most surprising part of the picture before you, fleet? Is it that Winn is actually sleeping for once or is it that the bare-chested brunette snuggling up against him is a guy instead of Kitty?

It would be kind of boring for the accidental video function to go off like this if nothing was going to happen so it's a good thing the mystery man is stirring and idly nuzzling Winn's throat for your entertainment.]

[ instinctively responding to the nuzzling, winn pulls his bedmate closer, his already waking mind (because really, what doesn't wake him these days?) registering something that doesn't quite add up in the gesture, but he can't quite put his finger on what that is. humming in contentment, his fingers move to tangle in kitty's hair and - that ends way too soon. one eye peeks open - followed by the other - and you're treated to a high pitched scream that's more surprised than frightened and a quick view of winn's newly formed abs as, tangled up in the blanket, he falls out of the frame and off the bed in an instinctive attempt to get away.

his head popping back in the picture - sporting a very messy bed hair and bloodshot exhausted eyes open wide in surprise and alarm - he whispers almost hopefully ]

[She jerks up in alarm at all the sudden drama.] Winn! [As soon as the word is out she knows it's not her voice and she looks down at her masculine body in surprise.] Oh boy.

[ he smiles so brightly it feels like his smile should be able to power up the tourist for a week, just so relieved and happy for her. ]

I'd hug you but that wouldn't work cuz you totally can!

[She smiles widely at that too and resolidifies—safely outside his body. For a moment she even forgets herself and hugs him. It doesn't feel like it usually does, but it still feels pretty good.]

[ he returns the hug warmly and no - it definitely doesn't feel like it usually does, but he hugs jim, he hugs cisco, he hugs hank - he hugs guys all the time. it doesn't feel that weird, either. ]

[What if she tucks herself in a little closer and rests her face against your neck like she so often does when you hug? Do they do that?] Sorry I scared you out of bed.

[ ..no. okay, that's a little weird. but he'll roll with it anyway because it doesn't feel bad. he's surprising himself here with how unfazed he is about this. ]

This isn't the kind of malfunction I'm worried about.

[ ok, it is, but it's not what's keeping him awake. he's not afraid of her in another body. ok, he is if it's permanent, or if it's not humanoid - but - you get his drift! her being a man for a couple days isn't what's going to make his sleep deprivation worse, not unless she's miserable about it. ]

Winn. [Not sure how to start this and consequentially just staying buried against him because it feels like the best place in the universe to be. She just hopes it's not making him uncomfortable. She doesn't feel that from him, but she also knows he'd be doing his best to hide it if he was.] I know you love me and you'd want to do anything to make me happy, but if there's anything we need to change while I'm like this... I'll understand.

[ it better not last forever. he doesn't think he could handle that, and it scares him. he loves her, who she is, and that hasn't changed, but physical attraction is a huge part of their relationship and while she's a ridiculously good looking man - he isn't sure he can do that. it, however, doesn't feel like a from-the-get-go deal breaker, either. ]

Kitty. [ he pulls away so he could look her in the eyes, those eyes that are unfamiliar and yet he knows exactly what they're thinking because he knows them better than he knows anyone's. he strokes her cheek and - in a life where he's aided a superhero, been kidnapped to participate in a space reality show, and been chased by a t-rex, leans in to do what feels like the strangest and in a way scariest thing he's ever done -because how he deals with this will determine how they handle the rest of this glitch, will color him differently in her eyes, in his own eyes - and kisses her softly.

he pulls back after a moment, and smiles at her, feeling like he's passed some sort of test on the one hand, and like he's maybe got some figuring out to do on the other. ]

[If you were wondering if these new cheeks can blush, they can. She even feels butterflies in the borrowed stomach like he was kissing her for the very first time when it's been more than she can count. She feels tingly over it maybe more so because it's such a soft, deliberate kiss.]

Wow. [She smiles. Starting to relax more into this body.] I mean, I love you so much.

[ somehow making her blush in that body feels weirder than kissing her in it, and her reaction makes him blush right back. there's something so wrong about hearing her say that in that voice, but he doesn't feel like he minds...does that even make sense? does anything make sense? why is he looking for sense in a world where his girlfriend goes to sleep as a woman and wakes up as a man? ]

Well I am very lovable. [ he jokes, but he knows it's a joke that she'll like, that'll hopefully make her feel a little better. ]

I guess this means sharing a bed tonight is still what we do? Since I'm still Kitty and you're still Winn, the lovable? [She lets her hands intentionally touch his, gently skimming over his skin in a more tentative way than she normally does, but she's still adjusting to this and she's sure he must be too.]

[ he does stiffen a little at the touch despite himself, it's just so odd - when he initiates it he knows it's coming but when it's the other way around he's missing that moment to steal himself, to prepare for what's about to happen and how odd it's going to feel. he doesn't flinch though, he wants to - for once in his life - react well. not make a big deal out of this.

so he'll share a bed with a guy - nope, there is literally no way he could phrase that that wouldn't feel weird. he's gonna do it anyway and hope he can deal. ]

It is for my part. [ he'll understand if it'll be weird for her. there are some things that are much harder to hide in this body, for once no pun intended. ]

[She notices the stiffening. Of course she does. She's very focused on his reactions right now. It's not the kind of stiffening she normally likes to cause in him, but she understands or thinks she does. It takes time to adjust and they really just woke up.] Mine too. I might not look it, but I'm very much your Kitty. [And sleeping alone would be too sad even if sleeping next to each other may take time to get comfortable.

[ he's trying his hardest to control those reactions and that alone can cause stiffening because he doesn't trust himself to loosen up. ]

That's all that matters. [ he pauses, and goes for a lighter note. ] Even if you are a better looking guy than I am. [ he's not jealous nope. that might be the weirdest emotion he's ever felt in his life, but man - those abs. not even in his dreams does he look like that. ]

[She stills her hand when he doesn't seem to relax. She doesn't want to make him feel bad. She definitely doesn't want him to be in a position to outright reject her. But she does laugh at his last words.] No. I haven't seen a mirror yet, but already I say no. Impossible.

[ no really, he means it. how is that fair? it's already painfully obvious how out of his league he is when she's a woman, but when they're both men? he's like the star quarterback's nerdy pet. ]

[She gets up and heads over to the dresser where she keeps a small mirror compact and flips it open.] Okay, I'm kind of cute. [No, she's aware that she's a guy she'd be attracted to if it wasn't herself. Yeah, that's weird.] But I was still right.

Hey, hey, [Moving back to stand in front of him.] we can both be hot. [She slides her fingers into Winn's hair and looks down at him, meeting his eyes in that wanting sort of way that she has, forgetting herself for the moment. Or, more accurately, forgetting that she's not fully herself.]

[ he has no idea how to handle her looking at him that way in this body, but his body doesn't seem to care - it shivers under that look, the same way it would've had this been the night before. ]

Kitty - [ his voice comes out in a rugged whisper -- that breaks into a laugh because no it really is just hilarious to call a man kitty, he can't help himself. ]

[The way he says that does things to her. But before she turns that into doing things to him he starts laughing and she blinks, looking confused.] Winn? [Sorry, she doesn't get it. She's pretty used to the name. It's been twenty years. It's just her. The bout of confidence is over though. Back to feeling insecurity about the body.]

I'm sorry - [ he shakes his head, still chuckling. there really isn't a way to explain himself that won't make her feel bad but he's tired and is trying to keep too much of himself under control and he just blurts it out before he can censure himself ] you just don't look like a Kitty - [ she's this handsome, fit, cool guy and calling him kitty just feels like the most ridiculous thing in the world right now. ]

Well...I am. [She sits back down on the bed, a little further away from him, hair dropping down to cover her eyes. As much as she normally loves to hear Winn laugh and wouldn't normally mind if it was even about something silly she said or did she's not secure enough for it to be about this thing she has no control over or choice in.]
