This place seems nice enough. The view is fine, and I assume I'm supposed to be grateful for the pudding, but I really can't stay here. I don't know who brought me here or how. In fact, that's just the beginning of the long list of questions I have, so if I could talk to whoever's responsible for this, that would be great. Thanks.

[she figures that her multitude of other questions (why and how is she in space? how does she know the basics of how to use this communicator, not to mention the other new knowledge she's suddenly acquired? has she lost more memories and forgotten being transported here?) will be answered if she manages to speak to the aforementioned party, so - with that, she turns off the broadcast.]

The Tourist is the name of our ship, yeah. The most aptly named ship, in my opinion.

I guess we are all tourists, assuming you came here the same way I did. How long have you been here?

About nine months, I guess? Time flies, really. There are some people who have been here for over a year, though.

A group of entities called the Atroma brought you here as a form of entertainment. We don't know who we are supposed to be entertainment for, since nobody's heard of the program.

[ There's a brief pause where he decides his wording. ] You may as well get used to it here. It's possible you won't leave for quite some time.

Entertainment? That is the most— who does that?

[a frustrated sigh, before she latches onto part of what he's said.]

But it's possible I will be able to leave soon, too?

..It's certainly possible. People come and go with no real pattern. You could be here for weeks or years.

[ she'll find one slightly greasy man - wearing the jumpsuit for a change, because he's not going to mess up the clothes he's been working so hard on - running routine maintenance on the ship's engines. he'll put his tools down when she comes in, though, and smile. ]

Or maybe you don't, it could just be a 'my earth' thing - are you from earth? [ because even though he's been in the fleet for months he still expects everyone to be from earth. is that racist? speciesist? planetist? ]

[Chloe is in the science lab, humming to herself as she putters around doing science things. There's an alien plant on a pot on one of the examination tables with some trimmers, and a couple books, and also music playing from some speakers.]

[The teen glances up at the sound, an unlit cigarette between her lips. Dressed in ratty punk clothing and a lab coat she is probably not the most reassuring scientist.]

[Kitty is not on the roster for the Tourist. It doesn't stop her from living here about half the time. Maybe more. She might have dismissed the unfamiliar face as just a visitor for someone else she doesn't recognize, but she notices a stray piece of confetti that signals new assignments. The greeting helps too.]

Hi, I'm Kitty. Definitely the Tourist. New?

[She's a new face, possibly a visitor, but he doubts it. While he doesn't exactly smile, he does at least incline his head in greeting. ]
