[By now, everyone must be used to people wondering how and why they're here, and then perhaps throwing confused temper tantrums over being here. Surely the new passengers ought to be filled with questions for all the lovely people within the Fleet to answer? Or perhaps accuse everyone of kidnap?

After being on the Marsiva, and now being on this little ship, Espio has managed to work his way through what confusion he had, and now he's just... angry. If he could encrypt this somehow, there would be a very angry wall of incomprehensible ranting on the network as he vents, but since his ID number will be associated with him eventually, his anger is condensed into two simple sentences that express none of his feelings and don't help him feel better at all:]

That's the third time. Hope you know I hate every single one of you.

[No signature is given. He doesn't care to identify himself right now.]

[And on the Golden...

The confetti was unappreciated. The pudding... well, okay, that got eaten, because while it was kind of plastic-tasting to him it was still a free sweet. Espio isn't particularly inclined to explore his new surroundings, though. He's kind of still mad at said surroundings. His exploration of the vessel is therefore slow, consisting mostly of lurking in corridors or on the bridge, pulling faces at things, and shooting any fellow crew members an irritable glare rather than doing the sensible thing and introducing himself.]

[And he hopes you're not planning on hogging that position, old man.]

[Oh. Now there's more than one pilot, and Han lets out a sigh of relief]

Oh, good. [A moment's pause, then, just to check:] You ever done any piloting before?

[Oh good. Some tension seems to slip out of him as he sees less reason to be defensive - this guy seems somehow a little relieved, even - and he nods.]

Just don't get me started on the Ragnarok...

I was a piloting and martial arts specialist in a mercenary organisation. We never took the Ragnarok into Space, but it was capable of it.

The what?

[Oh, no, now Han's curious. And a little impressed by Espio's credentials as well.]

Since we're sharing credentials, I used to be a smuggler, had my own ship--the Millennium Falcon. Ever heard of the Kessel Run? [This isn't him taking the opportunity to brag about that, oh no, he is totally just probing to see if Espio's from anywhere near his galaxy. (He's absolutely going to brag.)]

Never piloted anything in space before? [A little huff of breath, one that sounds almost like a laugh. Sort of.] Guess there's nothing like learning in the field.

The best ship.

[Does Han want classic vehicle fanboy squee? The Ragnarok, much as it's not even from his home reality, is one of his favourite topics.

Espio shows no sign of recognition at that name though, and shakes his head.]

Don't know it. I've hopped between a few realities, it's unlikely one of them was yours.

And I have flown in Space, but only in my home reality. It was... different to what anyone 'round here'll be used to.

[Oh, really now?]

Just because it sounds impressive doesn't mean it's the best ship there is. [Says the guy who claims that his ship is the best ship there is.

As for having flown in a different space from what Han's used to, well. That's definitely got him hooked now.]

All right, tell you what--tell me how different it is where you're from, I'll tell you something about where I'm from. Sound like a good deal to you?

It is. You'd agree if you'd ever flown it.

[He nods at that suggestion, but there's a puzzled frown as he once again tries to figure out just how to describe the acid trip that is the Special Zone.]

In my home reality... well, it was an unpredictable and cluttered mess littered with shapes and structures that could change without warning. There were a few things that would stay stable, like planets and stars, but the rest... it was like it was still shaping itself, I guess.

You could breathe in our version of Space. There was also gravity, but the direction it pulled in would change.

All right, let's say I believe you. [It's obvious from his tone that he does not actually believe him.] How's it handle?

[If Espio turns it around on him he's going to have to lie through his teeth. The Millennium Falcon might be, in his view, the fastest ship in his galaxy, but the hyperdrive's been busted more times than he cares to count. And that's one part.]

Yeah, that's definitely not the same as ours. Or anyone else's, as far as I know. [Time to hold up his end of the bargain.] There's no gravity in space, where I'm from, and sure as hell no air either, but that's typical for most realities. We mapped out most of it, save for Wild Space--wouldn't recommend going there, unless you're really desperate.

Incredible, and also incredibly reliable. It's actually a classic vehicle, about forty years old, but even after being lost for twenty years it was still in perfect working order when it was recovered. It was designed for high speed and mobility, but even after those forty years it's still considered a huge technological feat and the fastest vehicle on the planet. I like it mostly because of its manoeuvrability - it's very precise.

I mean, sure, it's from a world not completely ready for Space travel yet. It could probably do with a couple upgrades. But every element of the design is solid.

Plus it looks amazing. That's always a good thing.
