Ahh, [There is some adjusting of the camera before Remy gets it right, balancing it in just a way so he could place it down away from him and still leave it filming. It wasn’t a happy face that appeared on the feed this time around as he took a seat on a bed that wasn’t his own and in a setting that wasn’t his room.] Guess since no one has yet, up to me to break the bad news. Seems Rogue has left.

She, ah, [Oh, this was tough. He had gone around to annoy his best friend, having not had a chance to catch up of late, and had brought his three little annoyances in the form of the kittens along with him to meet her, only to find her room mostly empty of its items and no signs of her.] Well, seems she’s left a few things for people here. Kitty, Kurt, Clay, Winter, Loki. [He moves to pick the camera up again, turning it around onto the selection on the bed, including several books, a makeup set, her mpc player, a necklace. Some items have a note on them, others don’t.] I’ve kinda gathered them up ‘nd left them on her bed for ya’ll to pick up when ya able to.

[The camera turns back to him again as he throws on a smile, but it is rather forced, the angle of the camera showing Rogue's guitar she had gotten from the gifting tree resting over his legs.] Hopefully she’s gone back home ‘nd... well, not got caught up in ‘ny of this again. And, hey, she’s got a good home to go back to, I know, ‘ve seen her future. She does a lot of good work, really does her team proud, 'nd helps a lot of people out. Hell, saves the whole world. Kinda hard to beat that for a welcome home party.

Ah nah, I'll be fine. [Quite the opposite in fact, Remy liked to throw himself into distraction to deal with a problem, including work.] Everything might just be well marinated with a not so healthy dose of booze. [And humor. Humor was his key to coping.]

Man after my own heart. [She figured it might be the case, but you know. Just in case.] I'll leave your shifts untouched, then. You seem like the kind of guy who can hold your liquor just fine.

[Which is an oblique way of saying she doesn't much care if he feels the need to drink on duty.]

I try, cherie, I try. [Though on a more serious note with that all.] Promise, won't actually get drunk durin' shift, [Then a moment to think.] Nothin' more than I normally do, at least.

[She grins.] Well, that's all I can ask.

You guys came from the same world, huh?

Yeah, different times, but yeah. We were also stuck together in the last, multi universe, group therapy session, so we been through a bit. [More so for Rogue, who certainly had grown up over the many years she had been away from home. She was a veteran compared to the coming up three years Remy had been shuffled between the two groups.] Hell, she probably happy to get rid of me after that long.

...Luceti, right? Heard that place was kinda nasty in comparison to here. [She quirks a grin.] From personal experience, I don't know. I appreciate people being here that have been stuck in more than one place with me. It feels like they know where you're coming from.

[The fact Rogue won't remember either place now is kind of... something she won't bring up.]

It was... non, let's go with 'nasty', that's both the best 'nd nicest way to describe it. [The Fleet was a cake walk compared to Luceti, even if issues did come up on the planets or even on the ships. At least they hadn't gone to war, yet.]

Yeah, ya right. After all, misery loves company, non?

Sounds about right.

You'll see her again when you go home, right...?

Ah... donno. We ain't exactly friends back home. Maybe acquaintances at the best. [Enemies at worse, but Remy didn't bother to add that bit. The entire thought of heading back home now was something he didn't want to think about. Sure, he missed his world, his family, his work, but if going back meant he lost his memories here, well, he wasn't sure he ever wanted to go back.]

[She winces.] That sucks. I'm sorry.

Thanks cherie, but hey, doesn't really matter if it turns out like how others have described it, none of us will remember bein' out here in the first place. Kinda hard to miss what ya can't remember happened. [All the more reason Remy was wanting to go home less and less.]

I think it depends on the circumstances in which you leave.

Adstringendum... people forgot when they went home, until we dealt with the problem at its source. Then we all got to go home if we chose with our memories intact.

[She doesn't think these places are unconnected. It's the slimmest sliver of maybe she can really offer.]

[That was... both reassuring and unsettling, for both he and Rogue. Was it better to remember all the good time here and in Luceti, or to be able to forget all the bad and all the things, and people, lost during them. He hated to think of Rogue back home, back in a body she hadn't been in for many years now, away from her partner and with knowledge of the friends and family she had lost along the way.] Sounds like all these places got a bunch of different rules, hein?

I'm not convinced they're not one and the same. Adstringendum is free, now. There's nobody holding us there. We could leave or return as we wished.

Makes me think if we could somehow deal with the Atroma here, the same might hold true.

...So, all this places just branches of the same group that's out there stealin' people from different universes? [That... was a possibility, but the idea of a single universe being so large that it was impossible to know what was alive in it, let along multiple ones, it seemed a bit too big to just be one group.] Or that the same concept that worked on Adstringendum, [That was a mouthful of a name.] Might be possible here?

[A hell of a mouthful, yeah.]

Of all the places I've heard of, most of them seem to follow the same weird rules. Adstring's the only one I've heard of where people kept their memory at the end, but... well, until I got here, I thought Adstring was just a one off, you know? We dealt with the force that was keeping us there and then we got to leave or stay.

But now I wonder if it was just another environment where they give you some kind of win condition to be met. I don't want to think that, because it was really beautiful and I know some people were happy to stay.

But I also can't rule it out.

Yeah, Luceti was like that too. Managed to help them solve their problems 'nd were given the option to stay or head home, 'nd clearly since I ended up here neither of those worked. [There was a shake of his head and a roll of his eyes that accompanied those words, before Remy shrugged it off.] Ain't really 'mportant now though, be it? Can't change 'ny of it.

[She huffs a small laugh.] Same with me, actually. I only know I got to go home with my memories intact when I fell into one of those sleep comas here. I went home and remembered Adstring, but not...here.

It's weird.

[There's a pause as Remy worked to mentally put those pieces in the right time order.] That sounds... real complicated. 'bove my paycheck kinda complicated. Will leave it to much better men, 'nd femmes, to try 'nd work out how this all happens. [Yep, not even going to try figuring out how this kind of thing works.]

Don't blame you there. Myself, I'll be happy if I ever just get the chance to punch Diamond in her perfect face.

Tell ya what, ya start a line, sure ya'll have plenty behind ya. Though, ya know, it ain't all that bad. Wouldn't had a chance to meet up with wonderful people like yaself if this hadn't happened. [It was said with a grin that sat halfway between being teasing, and halfway to sincere.]

Heh. Well. That is the saving grace, isn't it? I've never had much trouble with the people I've met along the way.
