"My mind's like a deadly disease..."
Who: Wanda Maximoff
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: Starstruck
When: Now
Broadcast - Text
[Wanda's presence, both in the Fleet's comms and aboard its vessels, has dwindled, slowly but surely, over the course of the past month. There was period of time, around the beginning of the month, when she couldn't be found or reached at all--save for by Misty, Vision and Pietro. More perceptive fleet members might recall that her disappearance occurred around the time that rumors of a dragon and its rider terrorizing Solrius were circulating about. However, she did pop back up a little while later, seemingly as though nothing was wrong. However, those that know her well may have picked up the subtle tells that there was something she was not saying. Something that she was trying to bury. And so, she became more and more scarce around the Fleet. At least, until now...]
What do you think happens after death?
[The message is short and simple. Anyone familiar with the festivities of the month of October, perhaps this is simply her way of trying to get into the spirit of things?]
Starstruck - Action
[Friends and shipmates of Wanda's, if they want to go looking for her, will find her either holed up in her bunkroom aboard the Starstruck, or in a corner of the ship's kitchen or shuttle bay at times she thinks no one would typically wander in. By the look on her face, it is clear something is troubling her.]

If the balance were thrown off... if someone did not stay dead...
what would happen?
text > private; text
[Angry spirit maybe? She's going out on a limb too right now.]

[The response comes quickly. Wanda persisting with her question.]

[Suspicious!!]

[There's a pause stretching for two or three painful minutes. And then the video feed from Wanda's communicator cuts on. On the other side of the screen, Wanda looks like she's tired. And in pain. Like she's had to hold in a terrible secret for too long, and has lost sleep wrestling with herself over it.]
[Her top has been partially unbuttoned, just enough that Korra can see clearly the beginnings of a large, grisly scar that appears to stretch from just below where her left collar bone meets her neck to far lower down her chest. Judging by the location, the wound should have been lethal. Yet, here Wanda is.]
[The look on her face and her coming words confirm Korra's suspicions. As Wanda watches, a look of resigned despair on her face, for Korra's reaction.]
It has already been done.

[Excuse her while she gapes for a moment.]
What happened?!
[Already her mind is scrambling to find a way to help her. She didn't seem corrupted?]
private; video
I died.

[She might be able to sense any corruption too? She's only ever been able to purge spirits, not people.]

[She's not sure she likes the idea of turning herself into some kind of sideshow. But, she also doesn't not sense that that's Korra's intentions. She doubts the Avatar can "heal" anything, as, medically speaking, that had already been taken care of. The scar was the only reminder of what had happened to her.]
Sure.
I'm on the Starstruck. I'll meet you in the shuttle bay.
