it all feels, at times, as if the Atroma had led them into a trap. Surely them walking around in the woods is not a very exciting notion. Unless something or someone else are already there, waiting for them, watching them.
watching him.
the tingle in his spine says it all and he looks up -
well. he doesn't quite roll his eyes but there is some dryness to his tone. ]
Loki.
[ he didn't attack, that's one thing but Steve knows better than to let his guard down. ]

[He swings one foot idly.] Rather far afield, aren't you?

[ he doesn't buy this entire god of mischief frolicking in the woods. If Loki is here, he has some sort of reason to be here, a merit. or perhaps a sense of curiosity. It's hard to know with someone who tells as many lies as he does truths. ]
Looking for something?

Though the ambient energies of this one are... Interesting.

He sighs, arches an eyebrow ]
What energies?
[ serum or not, it's not something captain america can sense ]
is that what you're trying to follow?

[He draws a little rune in the air with one finger; it lingers faintly with a soft glow.]
There's no try about it.

[ magic. he honestly can't tell the differences sometimes but the little he does know is enough to make him understand sometimes energies and magic, science and folklore are one and the same.
after all, he is talking to a god of a sort, isn't he? he watches the rune and then looks up again. ]
Have you figured out the source of it all?
no subject
Ah, it is that for which I hunt. I found it at the last planet once I'd walked the pattern, and shall find it here too.
how dare dw not send me this tag
[ captain america or not, he knows he is hardly any authority on magic. Loki, however, annoying as he sometimes may be is perhaps one of the most knowledgeable beings on the fleet when it comes to that specific subject. ]
Which planet?
[ and wait a minute, you know what - ]
Are you ever going to come down from there?
no subject
[A fine distinction, but one he considers important.
He smiles.] Getting a cramp in your neck?
[But because the point as been made, he drops from the branch and lands lightly on his feet, before continuing the conversation as if there's been no pause.]
The one with all the bloody telepaths.
no subject
[ it seems that only Loki inspire this much dryness from Captain America. He chooses to ignore the other comment and just shake his head ]
You mean the one before last? The one where people insisted on hugging each other?
[ not the worst of them all, by far. ]

no subject
[ but then, he has to point out ]
A bit nicer than this one, though. And there were people. Are you saying the planets are similar, somehow? I think we'd notice if we were sensing each other's feelings again.

[ and that's one thing that he understands and knows how to respond to, at the very least. ]
I'm going to try and see if maybe I can find the source, maybe there's still someone to save.
