[Stefan reaches for the gourd and carefully takes the seeds out like Kanda instructed. As he places the seeds where they're meant to, he asks,] I figure you're gonna plant most of these, but gourd seeds are pretty yummy when roasted.

[That's... a good suggestion, actually. He likes to eat squashy-type things because they're sweet, so the seeds sound pretty good.]

How long do you roast them?

Depends on how big they are. These, [he holds out a handful,] are medium-sized, so I'd say about twelve minutes? You want to make sure they're nice and golden-brown.

[He lets out a sigh.]

Not like there's much else to eat around here.

[Stefan shakes his head, continuing his work.]

Kirito and I do most of the cooking, and at this point? I'd say we're pretty good.

I don't eat much. A lot of food just doesn't taste good to me.

Do you have soba?

Not usually. I've seen stuff like soba? But I wouldn't know how to make it.

[He still has a whole bunch of Ino's recipes to go through. Maybe there's one tucked in that envelope?]

Buckwheat flour. [He's seen Zhu Mei make them so many times.] And water.

If I can get buckwheat, then I'll see what I can do. Dad taught me how to make pasta back home....

[He doesn't know what will happen, given that he made it Italian style, but it's worth a shot.]

Considering that a) I know how to cook and b) you've got the recipe and probably the ingredients, it's not really trouble.
