[It's been so long since they had any kind of challenge, that it doesn't occur to Erik to note its absence. It was a long time ago for him. He raises his eyebrows at her remark, some levity dissipating.]

[she glances over and tilts her head, before faintly shaking it]

[He nods, relenting. It had been a bit strong of a comment. Tapping at his empty glass, he looks around the bar, feeling a little more at ease than the last time he was here.]

[she smiles a bit and nods, then shrugs a shoulder. Reaching out, she refills the her glass, then makes a questioning gesture to Erik, wordlessly asking if he wants more as well]

It has. It is nice to drink with you and it not be for competition's sake.

[Erik tips his head towards her, agreeing to the refill.]

I wouldn't last in a competition these days. I'm an old man, after all.

[she hums a little, amused, and refills his glass]

Older than you? ... I suppose so. [He doesn't honestly remember if he's ever known Tempest's age.]
