That's fine. [He has yet to leave the ship ALREADY THERE.]
foxpas: (pic#8704046)

[personal profile] foxpas 2016-10-16 04:59 am (UTC)(link)
[well, she's going back to the ship to find him, then...]

May I ask a question while we travel?
imfine1111one: (Sitting in my thinking chair.)

[personal profile] imfine1111one 2016-10-16 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
[Hope you know how to drive or shuttle cuz Apollo sure don't. Note to self make him figure that out. He's sitting writing in his notes in the common area when she finds him.]

Sure, what is it?
foxpas: (pic#8704046)

[personal profile] foxpas 2016-10-16 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
[WHY YOU GOTTA MAKE THE MEDIEVAL GIRL DRIVE, APOLLO]

I would like to ask what manner of things you do like. I have heard much of your dislikes, but...
imfine1111one: (Say again?)

[personal profile] imfine1111one 2016-10-16 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
[It's fine it's like driving a horse or a car. Which Apollo also can't do. But that question gets a surprise.]

--huh?

. . .

I seriously haven't mentioned anything I like since I've gotten here?
foxpas: (pic#8717281)

[personal profile] foxpas 2016-10-16 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
[SHE CAN'T DRIVE A CAR EITHER

but let's say the augment did it so they're going to that waystation.]

I cannot speak for the entire time you have been here, but at the very least, you have not to me.
imfine1111one: (You created a bonkers god damn religion.)

[personal profile] imfine1111one 2016-10-16 05:46 am (UTC)(link)
[GO TEAM GO]

Ah. . .

. . .

I enjoy lawyering. . .oh, and manga and some tv shows.
foxpas: (pic#8828744)

[personal profile] foxpas 2016-10-16 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
... Um... "Manga"? Ah, there was one television show I enjoyed as well when I was younger.

[medieval girl has TV, just go with it.]

But how does 'lawyering' work? What do you do for it?
imfine1111one: (How does crime work?)

[personal profile] imfine1111one 2016-10-16 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
[How the heck--yes okay he is not questioning that.]

Manga's just another word for comics. Books with pictures, basically.

As for lawyering, well, when I get a chance to uncover the truth, or defend someone in court, that's the best feeling in the world, pretty much.
foxpas: (pic#8699935)

[personal profile] foxpas 2016-10-16 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
Oh... Such as "doujins"?

I see. "Uncovering the truth" means you are a detective, too?
imfine1111one: (The Dark Age of you talking shit.)

[personal profile] imfine1111one 2016-10-16 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
. . .[A look of why do you even know what those are.]Er, yes only more official, not fanworks.

Detectives and lawyers are two separate entities. Detectives investigate, and lawyers use the gathered clues to defend their clients and clear false charges.
foxpas: (pic#8699932)

[personal profile] foxpas 2016-10-16 06:06 am (UTC)(link)
[a very creepy person and an unfortunately trusting nature]

Um... I see, I think... They gather the clues, and you put them together?
imfine1111one: (Sitting in my thinking chair.)

[personal profile] imfine1111one 2016-10-16 06:26 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly! We work together sometimes, but most detectives are on the prosecutor's side of things. It's really the courtroom that separates us.
foxpas: (pic#8699681)

[personal profile] foxpas 2016-10-16 06:28 am (UTC)(link)
I see...

[She seems to be very aware of what a prosecutor is, anyway.]

... Why would those gathering evidence be partial to one side?
imfine1111one: (Pondering.)

[personal profile] imfine1111one 2016-10-16 06:37 am (UTC)(link)
Well--think of it this way. When police go to make an arrest, they go for the most likely suspect, correct? So then the detectives follow up, making sure they have enough evidence and the right suspect. And then the Prosecutor steps in to put it all together, present the criminal's motives and methods, and put them behind bars.

So they all work together and sort of flow to one another naturally. The odds are stacked against the suspect--that's where defense attorneys like me come in. If it weren't for us looking at things from a new perspective, a lot more innocent people would be in jail.

It makes sense... It is the duty of a knight to make sure the ones who are arrested are the right ones. But such a method is only worth as much as the honor of the knights partaking in it...

You are the check, then, to make sure their power cannot be abused.
imfine1111one: (Ice-9 and other pseudoscience.)

[personal profile] imfine1111one 2016-10-16 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
That's a factor, true. Thankfully most of the prosecutors and detectives I've dealt with have been fine. [Except for the one spy and his own boss doop doop.]

That's a good way to put it, yeah. Ideally we all come to understand the truth, for better or worse.
foxpas: (pic#8701495)

[personal profile] foxpas 2016-10-16 07:14 am (UTC)(link)
Is the truth ever worse?
imfine1111one: (It's the worst paragraph ever.)

[personal profile] imfine1111one 2016-10-16 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
[OFFICE STARE AT CAMERA....]

It's a mixed bag.
foxpas: (pic#8745721)

[personal profile] foxpas 2016-10-17 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
... Truly? I feel the truth is always preferable.
imfine1111one: (You're not my DAD. Like LATER.)

[personal profile] imfine1111one 2016-10-17 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I agree, it's just sometimes the truth is hard to take. No matter what though, it must always be revealed.
foxpas: (pic#8699932)

[personal profile] foxpas 2016-10-17 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)
That is also regrettably true...

[She seems troubled by something, but isn't going to say anything more on that.]

Ah, we will be arriving momentarily.
imfine1111one: (Where are these words coming from?)

[personal profile] imfine1111one 2016-10-22 01:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[It's fine, neither of their social links are high enough for Truth Talks just yet.]

--already? That's surprising. And way less scary than I thought. [So long as he continues not to look out any windows.]

[And neither of them are arrested enough, either.]

If you talk to someone, it goes faster and alleviates the fear, does it not?
imfine1111one: (the idiocy is endearing)

[personal profile] imfine1111one 2016-10-22 02:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I guess so. . .but I'll still feel better when we stop moving!
