My doppelganger was evil. When Barry and I went to earth-2. His was a nerd who was married to his dream girl and mine was a psycho with bad hair.

[ he looks over at her ]

[ he smiles a bit and offers her his fist to bump ]

Vibe's a winner, to me. Cisco -- [ she hums. ] There are things more important than code names. I know you know that. Things, like, the kind of person you are. The kind of work you do.

I know. But I haven't really - I don't use them. I think I was mostly too terrified to really try.

[ he takes off his shoes and flops back. ]

After the Reverse Flash, there was Zoom and he turned out to be a friend too. So many people let those powers make them - horrible. I don't want to be powerful if it means I have a chance of going nuts and trying to hurt my friends.

--- No. But Barry's doppleganger is just a nerd. Just like Barry, without the super speed while mine is like something out of the Silence of the Lambs.

Honestly? Hop enough universes, and you'll probably even manage to find one where the Flash goes through the express checkout with way more than ten items. [ or, you know, kicks puppies. ]

[ like phasing. it's hardly charitable, but kate thinks about kitty pryde. she bites the inside of her cheek -- could tommy do that? she doesn't want to know.

tender, she touches her palm to cisco's chin. there is a kind of sadness in her eyes. ] How much of it do you remember?

[ his voice becomes a little hollow when he breathes ]

Not really. Just second of it, it all happened very fast. I remember - before that. he called me a son.

[ he scoffs ]

you know, the worst thing is, I think he meant it.

[ he nods a bit. the reverse flash is not just an enemy, he's one of the people Cisco depended on emotionally and jeez, wasn't that a mistake. ]

I can't really say it's any one thing. [ she shifts so she can sit next to him, leaning her cheek on his shoulder -- and giving his hand another squeeze. ] The team came together before I was even born. It's just one of those things. The Avengers, the Defenders, the Ultimates, the Heroes-for-Hire, the -- Guardians of the Galaxy. Names are names. Sometimes it's less about the semantics and more about the way they make you feel.

Yeah, I mean. It does sound really cool.

[ he has to admit. the avengers. that's seriously badass. ]

The Ultimates sound like a football team, though.
