[Loki leans against a tree, utterly relaxed.] I've been down here quite a lot, actually.

You don't strike me as the sort of enjoy the out-of-doors.

[personal profile] therewillbeorder 2016-10-22 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't, actually. [Between nature and his tendency to sunburn easily, being outside was something he usually avoided.]

But you seem the type to become one with nature, magic of trees and such.
complicatedliar: (the most dangerous prisoner)

[personal profile] complicatedliar 2016-10-23 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
How honored we all are, for you to have made a foray so against your nature.

[He laughs softly.] I've a reason to be fond of such things. But there is a much better reason, here.
therewillbeorder: ([5])

[personal profile] therewillbeorder 2016-10-23 06:26 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sure. [He had his reasons for being down here but he wasn't going to go into that with Loki of all people.]

How so? I know others have mentioned something odd about this planet. [Hux was not at all magically inclined or Force sensitive so he felt exactly nothing except annoyance at how dirty his boots were going to be when he got back.]
complicatedliar: (nice try)

[personal profile] complicatedliar 2016-10-23 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
There's a great deal of free energy to be had.

What kind of energy? [He wasn't surprised he couldn't feel anything aside from his usual annoyance with nature.

But if this was some kind of practical energy he could use, that would be nice. He wasn't optimistic though, he suspected it was a Force-like thing.]
complicatedliar: (no light)

[personal profile] complicatedliar 2016-10-24 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
The sort best used to alter the world.
therewillbeorder: ([11])

[personal profile] therewillbeorder 2016-10-24 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't suppose it has any practical use aside from just intangible...magic. You couldn't store that energy in a power cell?

[A power source would be nice to have though, just in case.]
complicatedliar: (little smirk)

[personal profile] complicatedliar 2016-10-25 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
Its uses are excessively practical to those who can make use of it. A sharp knife is always of use.

[He smiles.]

As a matter of fact, yes. Of sorts.
therewillbeorder: ([15])

[personal profile] therewillbeorder 2016-10-25 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
Not all of us can use magic, Loki. [He's not going to claim powers he didn't have and didn't want to have. He preferred his weapons and star destroyers.]

The problem would be actually getting it into and storing it in the power cells.
complicatedliar: (smirk)

[personal profile] complicatedliar 2016-10-27 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, do you mean power cells that you could use to make things go boom?

[Your lack of creativity is just tragic, Hux.]
therewillbeorder: ([10])

[personal profile] therewillbeorder 2016-10-27 07:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't be ridiculous, using power cells in a weapon larger than a blaster isn't practical if you want to make something really blow up.

[This is what he thinks about in his free time, alright.]
complicatedliar: (so very unimpressed)

[personal profile] complicatedliar 2016-10-28 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
[So very dryly:] How silly of me.

[This lack of finesse is just sad.] Is that truly what you consider to be power?
therewillbeorder: ([10])

[personal profile] therewillbeorder 2016-10-28 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
Weapons are only one part of it. Of course you know how to use them effectively. But I consider the advancement of other technology to be important as well.

And no, I prefer not to depend on magic, the Force, whatever you call it.

[He prefers to be effective more than anything.]
complicatedliar: (wicked thoughts)

[personal profile] complicatedliar 2016-10-28 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
Power, Hux, is causing you to believe the stairs start three feet further out than they really do. It is taking an absolute victory without a single shot being fired.

Your technology is a tool that you use as a toy.

therewillbeorder: ([2])

[personal profile] therewillbeorder 2016-10-30 06:38 am (UTC)(link)
If it's effective, there is nothing wrong with using technology. And you can do a lot with a single shot, if you know where you're aiming.
complicatedliar: (smirk)

[personal profile] complicatedliar 2016-10-31 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
There is nothing wrong with a tool, of itself. The indelicate use you put it to is merely... self-defeating.
therewillbeorder: ([15])

[personal profile] therewillbeorder 2016-10-31 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I honestly don't care about how delicate it is. Starkiller did what it was supposed to do very well and yes, it was brute force but sometimes that is what is necessary.

If your ultimate end was some sort of splashy, half baked revenge, yes. Though one might hope you'd thought beyond that.

I hope I have as well. But being here, that seems a bit moot at this time, doesn't it?

Either way, there is no reason to build another Death Star here anyway.
complicatedliar: (Default)

[personal profile] complicatedliar 2016-11-03 03:15 pm (UTC)(link)
That would depend upon what use you would make of your time.

No, there is no fun to being the king of a fish bowl.

There really isn't much satisfaction in destroying random planets of little significance for no reason.

[As much as he had enjoyed watching the Hosnian system be destroyed, he was realistic that it was necessary to be practical when using a superweapon.]

Despite the bugs. [He said as he swatted away some flying bug which had ventured too close.]
