that was fun. [No, it wasn't, Han's not slept so long in a long, long time. He's more than a little bit unhappy about it.] did I miss anything while I was out? besides stopping over at a planet for a while, anyway.

speaking of which, anything on there?

[Han can be found walking around SS Golden stretching his legs after a long time spent asleep in his cabin and occasionally talking to his crewmates and asking after what they've been up to since he fell asleep. He seems a little put out about having missed plenty while he was unconscious, which is--honestly not much of a change in his demeanor, he's always cranky over something.

He can also be found on the planet, hiking out to the massive ruins either by himself or with company. Hell, you might even want to keep him company, even just for a night--he's packed enough food and water for a few days of camping, along with gear for taking whatever he can lift off the hulk and sell off for a few credits, and he's willing enough to share what he's packed with somebody else.]

[she's in her room, tending to the plants she's brought on from the planet when she spots him walking by. Eyebrows raised, she dusts off her hands and gets up to peek out of the room. It hadn't escaped her notice that he'd been asleep - she had to wonder if that's all it was, or if something more had happened. It had happened to her friends, after all]

My, look who has finally decided to wake up. Have a good sleep, dear?

Hell of a lot longer than I'd have liked, but otherwise--[he shrugs]--wasn't too bad.

[He tilts his head a little, catching sight of the plants, and huffs out a breath.]

Been a busy week, huh?

Perhaps you needed the sleep.

[she glances behind her and shrugs a shoulder]

Something like that. I have been keeping myself occupied.

Last time I checked, humans didn't need a week or more of sleep.

[Though, considering his whole life, maybe a week or more of sleep's for the best. Not that Han is willingly going to, anyway, not when there's so much to do.]

I noticed. [He gestures to the plants. He's never really been one to put plants on a ship, himself, but if it works:] Planning on getting any more?

It is my understanding that you older lot need more sleep than the younger ones.

[look at how restrained she is, not outright calling him an old man. Not yet, anyway.

She hums a little with a shrug] I might, if I find any different ones. Why? Would you like some of your own?

I might be old, [at least he admits it] but I ain't that old.

[He doesn't actually sound that offended--there's a note of amusement in that tone, to go along with that mock indignation. Yes, apparently he is that old.]

Why not? [A shrug.] I gotta pass the time somehow.

Mmhmm.

[the tone of disbelieve and being a little shit. She grins, though, distracted from being a brat by talking of plants]

I plan to make another trip soon, if you would like me to pick some up for you. Or perhaps you would like to come along?

[He knows that tone. He's used that tone, decades ago. It's sort of horrifying to realize you're old enough for that tone to be used on you, who knew.]

'Course I'd like to come along. [A huff, like he's somewhat offended by the implication he'd like to stay on the ship.] It's been a while since I last got to stretch my legs, anyway.

I would actually prefer if you came along. I do not like being on the planet by myself. [there's still a lilt in her voice, but it's true; she doesn't go there alone]

Why, you got a bad feeling about it? [It's both gentle teasing and genuine concern.] When's the next time you'll be going down there?

[accurate, for all that it's teasing. She shrugs and nods] Something down there is watching us - what it is, I don't know. But I have felt it more than once.

Whenever you would like to, I imagine. It is not as though I am busy.

[Kaylee had only been vaguely aware of Han's presence; the fact that he wouldn't wake definitely weirded her out, but she figured that sort of thing was best left to any doctors in the Fleet.

So, if Han hears noises in the engine room and investigates, he'll find the place is a bit of a mess, and a girl in her early twenties is happily tinkering.]

[It's been a while since Han was in engineering, owing to being asleep, so when he pokes his head in he rightfully expects it to have become something of a slight mess, and to probably have to bang out some problem in the engine. He doesn't expect the cause of it to be a young girl.]

Need any help with that? [He doesn't expect her to say yes. She seems to have it well in hand, after all, he just wants to strike up a conversation.]

[Kaylee grinned sheepishly as she stood up, wiping grease-stained fingers on her jumpsuit.]

Well, might need some help tidyin' up when I'm done...

Fine. [If by tidying up you mean haphazardly stick things somewhere and hope for the best, he's your man! And to demonstrate he bends down to pick some random shiny bit off the floor.] Hey, I've been asleep for a while, did anything happen to the ship while I was out?

[A moment's pause.] Besides the stopover.

[Kaylee shook her head.]

Well, nothin' mechanical, at any rate. I only got here a couple weeks ago, though, so depends on how long you been snoozin'.

Oh, good, I was a little worried. Ship's starting to grow on me. [Sure, the Golden isn't the Falcon, but he's starting to like it here.

Just going to put that shiny thing aside on the nearest flat surface, hope nobody needed that.] A week or so, near as I can figure.

[Kaylee grinned.]

Ships got a way of doin' that. This ship isn't my Serenity, but she'll be my home for the duration, so I might as well keep her as fit as I can. And that's good, though a week is still a long time to be asleep!

I know somebody who slept for about a month here. Apparently sleeping for a long time's normal.

[Something to do with the augments.]

Serenity, huh? [A lopsided smile.] I used to be captain of a ship myself. [A breath, sounding almost like a nostalgic chuckle.] You tell me about Serenity, I'll tell you about the Falcon, that sound good to you?

Whoa... [Kaylee blinked in surprise.] Ain't natural. Is it something those Atroma folks do to people?

[She then brightened at the prospect of talking about one of her favorite subjects.]

Deal. There's a ship in the fleet as looks like Serenity, in point of fact- the Wonderduck, I think she's called. Firefly-class, so named for the extenders and the big engine on the back, looks like a taillight on a firefly. Some folk say she's a piece of junk, but she's solid if you know how to care for her.

you were out too huh well i dont know if you saw but theres a lot of forest out there

yeah, I kinda figured from all the green. find anything else besides trees?

bout two weeks i guess theres a big wrecked ship out there but its a couple days hike i havent been yet

I need to stretch my legs anyway. you want company? or more company, if you've already got someone. [He means Poe. Or Rey.]

not yet i dont but poes thinking about flying out there we cant land but its not like i havent done combat drops before

practice ones anyway

no time like the present to try it out. besides, look on the bright side: there's a decent chance you won't be shot at when you land.

you got a point there what do you think you want to try or rather walk its a pretty long walk

sure, let's try it out.

[It's probably dangerous, considering Finn has apparently never actually done a combat drop before, but considering Han's previous escapades, this is downright tame, especially since no one's going to be greeting them down on the planet.]

[Since there is the small matter of a certain Dark Side user he doesn't sense any more....]

[Rey is doing what comes naturally: she's Scavenging the ship ruins. She spots Han below - she is currently climbing up a wall - and smiles:]

Couldn't resist either, huh?

[Han is way too old to go climbing like Rey, but that's fine, there's still plenty to find down here. He looks up at the sound of her voice, smiles back.]

I was done sleeping anyway! [He gives her a lazy wave.] Good to see you're back.

[Espio is on the bridge, but apparently doesn't have much reason to be there aside from using the console as a footrest while he writes in a journal. He spots Han slipping into his peripheral vision, but doesn't even bother turning his head.

His face has a few scuffs and bruises. Nothing major, but he'd clearly been roughed up a little at some point recently.]

Look who's finally awake. 'bout time.

[Han's got a snarky response ready when he looks at Espio. Takes a long, good look at Espio.]

And apparently I missed a lot more than I thought. [He sounds calm, but the sort of calm that is covering up a whole load of worry and panic.] The hell happened to you?

[He looks puzzled for a split second, but then seems to realise, and gives Han a cocky grin.]

Had an argument with some slavers. They came off worse, trust me.
