[001 🐚 Action]

Who: Jeyne and YOU
Broadcast: N/A
Action: SS Golden; SS Blue Fish
When: Oct 23

It hadn't been a great surprise when Jeyne had appeared suddenly on the Golden. For all of her intentions of begging to be at her husband's side, she inwardly knew that she would be placed elsewhere. For the few days she had spent on the Marsiva, as well as the brief conversations she had on her strange device, she had slowly become aware of how these Atroma intended to play. Nothing was about her comfort, it was about this show that they had brought her here for.

For her sanity, and for Robb's sake, she would need to make the best of this situation and allow herself to be moved around as a pawn once more.

She had at least been given a room of her own. For the first few days, she had wandered the ship, acquainting herself with her surroundings, but only when she wasn't with her husband. Traveling between the Golden and the Blue Fish was becoming a routine for her. While she wanted to remain with Robb, she had duties to attend to and couldn't neglect her own crew.

So mornings and evenings, she would travel between the ships, slowly become familiar with the faces she passed (even if she didn't know all of their names.)

Stepping through the sealed doors, Jeyne rested for a moment, catching her breath and regaining her composure. No matter how often she passed people or walked the distance between her ship and the Blue Fish, she still managed to become disoriented and drained.

Hearing another's approach, she forced herself back into composure, bringing a smile once more to her features. "Good day," she said, turning to greet the person that had interrupted her solitude. "Am I in your way?"

"Shoot no!" Kaylee was, as usual, cheerful when she came across Jeyne while on her way to take a shuttle to the waystation once more. "Be nice to stop and chat for a bit, though. You're new here, right?"

Espio himself had largely kept to himself on the ship, though by now everyone was surely familiar with the grumpy reptile who always had a complaint about every small thing. True, he had settled down somewhat and had gone from defensively angry to merely cranky, but politeness was still out of the question.

"Don't be stupid," he grumbled. "There's more than enough room. Any particular reason you're lingering at the doorway?"

"Yup, I'm glad to meetcha! Jeyne's a pretty name." Not quite the same as the Jayne she knew- and, well, her Jayne was a very muscular mercenary guy who definitely wasn't the quiet type- but it still helped Kaylee feel a bit more at ease. "I'm Kaylee. I'm the mechanic here on the Golden."

"You think it's overwhelming now," Espio said, shaking his head. "Just wait. And be glad you're not where I last was."

He folded his arms, leaning against the nearest wall. Now he'd found someone to grumble at, he could put off wandering the hallways for a short while. It wasn't as if he currently had anything better to do.

"You're part of our crew, aren't you? Name?"

[ There is no real reason for Theon to be on away from he Paisley. Perhaps it's boredom, or perhaps he feels it wise to make some new attempt to force Robb to see sense--or perhaps he's just seeking another excuse to punch him in the face. Either way, he finds himself on the Blue Fish that afternoon, looking as if he hasn't had a good night's sleep in several days.

He isn't exactly the most popular person with the crew of the Blue Fish. They seldom speak to him, so when he hears someone address him, he doesn't smile. Instead, he reacts with slight suspicion.
]

No, you are not.

[ He pauses, briefly taking this woman in. There are little tellale signs that show up in all Westerosi, colors that don't wear off. Theon never noticed them before, but they've become increasingly more obvious here. Something about the way they all speak, the way they hold themselves. ]

Have you been assigned to this ship?

There are, Han decides, way too many kids on this ship--as far as he can tell, he's the oldest member of the crew as well as one of the most experienced in journeying through space, which means that it is now his responsibility to at least keep an eye out for them all. Especially the new ones.

And this girl standing in the doorway to the ship's galley is definitely a new one, by the looks of her. Modifying one of the blaster pistols he bought from the last system to his exact preferences can wait, and so he discreetly stashes something very close to his old weapon along with a screwdriver into his jacket.

"No, I'm just standing here 'cause I like it here." His concern's not going to stop him from being annoyingly sarcastic, apparently. "What about you, you waiting for a written invitation? Go on in."

"You don't wanna know," he answered, flatly. Being stuck in a post-apocalyptic wasteland where one had to have sex to stay real was not something to be discussed in normal, casual conversation. He offered a shrug.

"Espio the Chameleon. Pilot."

"'bout a month," Espio answered, with another shrug. "It's not terrible. There's food, for one thing. Weird, artificial food, but it's a step up I guess. Plus, it saves me from going bug hunting."

There were huge problems with this place that he could see - outright kidnap being the first, and every move you make being watched by someone being the second - but it was definitely a step up from the last year and a half.

"Just pretend you're not being watched all the time."

"Oh, that's a good thing." Kaylee brightened at that, though there was a bit of a pang as she thought of Simon, too... her gorgeous doctor. "You never know when one of us might get hurt or sick. Even being in the engine room can be hazardous to your health."

Kaylee thought on that second question for a moment. "Uhhh... think it's been a month now. Gosh, it don't seem like that long."

Riona could admire the way she composed herself, and the speed in which she did it. As a noble herself, it was something she was far too familiar with having to do.

"No no, you're fine. I just wanted to check up on you. You look winded."

He was very serious. Despite his now mostly-human appearance, he was still a lizard, and bugs could be tasty. He never got anyone else to join him, though.

"I don't know," he answered, honestly. Monty had told him that the bathrooms and bedrooms were private, but he heard that from Renart and who knew where Renart had heard that? He wanted to believe it, but he just didn't know. "That kind of thing'd never make it onto mainstream TV where I'm from, but... aliens."

Oh, she must be from some world or time period without them. Like... well, most of Espio's friends outside his homeworld, actually. "Television," he clarified, and despite sounding thoroughly impatient, he continued. "It's a device with a screen, like the communicators, only it's mostly for entertaimment. Back home, most people had one. Only certain companies could show stuff, and there were rules about what could be shown."

It would be, he thinks, for someone who's never been anywhere like space before. He shrugs, setting his hands on his hips--the girl's a pretty strong kid, he can see that much besides her strained and flustered look, someone trying to make the best of her bad situation, trying to prove something to herself.

He wonders what she's trying to prove, then decides not to ask.

He shrugs, says, "Fine, have that moment." She seems tired enough, from appearance alone, and he can't resist the urge to give her some advice: "You don't have to make the trip so often, you know. You can stay on one ship or the other for a few days."

[ The suspicion does not lift from his gaze. If anything, his expression darkens. For the briefest, most fleeting moment, he has to remind himself that this girl is not the cause of Robb's death.

No, he quickly intervenes on his own thoughts. Robb's stupidity brought him to his grave. And if you hadn't been so foolish yourself, perhaps you could have stopped it.

Even with the blame securely placed back upon himself and Robb, he still can't bring himself to look kindly upon this poor girl. He sympathizes, he truly does. After all, Jeyne looks just as miserable as he does. He can only assume that she's seen more bloodshed than she ever should have, but her very presence serves as a comely, yet gut-twisting reminder that Robb is dead, and nothing Theon can say or do is ever going to serve as a worthy apology.

Still, keeping up appearances is one of Theon's biggest skill. He grins, a false smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes.
]

Lord Stark.

[ He repeats her words with a chuckle, forcing himself to look bemused. The only time he ever refers to Robb by any of his titles is when he wants to rub salt in the wound. ]

I know him well. You'll find the miserable ass holed up in his room, sure enough.
