[ on the night of the 28th, the lecture hall will open its gates though it'll look remarkably different. Winn and Cisco would have decorated the corridors leading to it with Jack-o'-lanterns made from the pumpkins gathered at the little patch on the planet. The hall itself will be similarly decorated, along with other traditional scary Halloween decorations made from paper and fabric ( don't ruin the little paper spiders, they took hours to make! ). There will be music from various times of Earth-1 and Earth-3, so don't be surprised to find Lady Gaga playing alongside the Spice Girls! Feel free to make requests or otherwise, just show your skills on the dance floor!

There will be a bar run by Nami offering free sodas, though you'll have to pay for your own alcohol ( remember, don't drink and fly! ). Alongside the bar, characters will find a few tables offering candy from Earth-1 won by Cisco at the game room with a little sign reading TAKE ONE, LEAVE SOME FOR OTHERS and quite a lot of space chips and protein dips as well as various candy from all over the different planets ( cleverly hoarded by Winn! ) and a large selection of pumpkin pies and pumpkin treats. Characters will also find a line leading to Cisco's trusty ice cream machine, though it'll only offer peanut butter flavored sorbet.

At the corner of the hall there will be a karaoke machine with a little sign-up sheet. Characters could sign up solo or in groups and list the song they'd like to sing. Keep in mind though, the entire hall will be able to hear your rendition of Sexy and I Know it!

Adventure-seeking characters will be able to follow signs reading HAUNTED HOUSE and reach a large hall that was turned into a maze by large cardboard blocks painted black or covered by dark fabrics. Making it out of the maze won't be too hard and the maze itself won't be too frightening but will be mildly startling. It'll include some nifty engineered animatronics of witches, scarecrows, scary clowns and skeletons as well as holograms of ghosts! The song featured in the invitation will also be heard here, on repeat. It's a good break from the dancing and for some private conversations and moments.

Remember, costume are mandatory! you don't want to be caught by tonight's pumpkin kings, do you? ]

I hadn't thought of the idea of alternate versions, actually. Though that's definitely possible-- we've already had several blatant examples of it.

Yeah. Though I've got no recollection, obviously. I've probably turned up a few places and just don't know about it.

I've never had that one happen to me. I have gotten a couple of people who know versions of me from their worlds.

So you've definitely got alternate selves out there. That's ...gotta be weird to think about.

Mmm...the big shock came when I heard a time traveler came to our world to tell us everything was wrong because someone changed the past. Everything that's happened in the prison and here with alternates? Easy. [Though after finding out her world was "wrong" it did make her feel like all those other Kitty's are probably more "right" or better versions of her and that's not the greatest feeling.]

Time travel? Seriously? [She thought her world was the crazy one.] We've got someone who can slow time down in ours, but travel isn't a thing. That sounds like a lot of headaches.

Well, I'm not sure how it worked exactly, but he was from the other timeline. Time travel can definitely happen though.

...did he actually come from a different time? Coming from a different timeline just sounds like more of what we see here. I mean, your world is your world, right?

It's...complicated. [Strained by only getting second and third hand information. Someone definitely called him a time traveler, but with the information she has it doesn't fully make sense. It was true though!] But how could my world be anything but my world?

No, well, that's what I mean. He might be from a place where things happened differently, but that doesn't mean your world is wrong somehow. It's just... different. Feels arrogant, that's all.

The reason our world was different is because someone went back in time and changed the past. And it turned out...poorly. [Everything was awful and then everyone died.]

Well. That's... uh. Way above her paygrade, for a start. And she gets the feeling they're now tiptoeing around the edge of something devastating.]

I'm sorry. Probably not the best thing to talk about at a party, huh?

[Because now she wants to know, but in the middle of a celebration? Not ideal. Not nice at all.]

Well, it does have the added benefit of me being pretty relaxed so it's hard to get too emotional about it. [It's not like it's the first or seventeenth time she's thought or talked about it. Kind of a big deal.] Might be a buzz kill for you depending on how you do empathy.

I do empathy. I'm guessing whatever happened is pretty horrible. [And also something Kitty doesn't keep close to the chest, given that casual reaction.]

[It's just too much to be sensitive about all of it. She'd never get through a day and she has to keep pushing forward because that's what she's always had to do and it's what she knows and if you stop you die...again.]

Mmm...depends why I'm drinking.
