[ on the night of the 28th, the lecture hall will open its gates though it'll look remarkably different. Winn and Cisco would have decorated the corridors leading to it with Jack-o'-lanterns made from the pumpkins gathered at the little patch on the planet. The hall itself will be similarly decorated, along with other traditional scary Halloween decorations made from paper and fabric ( don't ruin the little paper spiders, they took hours to make! ). There will be music from various times of Earth-1 and Earth-3, so don't be surprised to find Lady Gaga playing alongside the Spice Girls! Feel free to make requests or otherwise, just show your skills on the dance floor!

There will be a bar run by Nami offering free sodas, though you'll have to pay for your own alcohol ( remember, don't drink and fly! ). Alongside the bar, characters will find a few tables offering candy from Earth-1 won by Cisco at the game room with a little sign reading TAKE ONE, LEAVE SOME FOR OTHERS and quite a lot of space chips and protein dips as well as various candy from all over the different planets ( cleverly hoarded by Winn! ) and a large selection of pumpkin pies and pumpkin treats. Characters will also find a line leading to Cisco's trusty ice cream machine, though it'll only offer peanut butter flavored sorbet.

At the corner of the hall there will be a karaoke machine with a little sign-up sheet. Characters could sign up solo or in groups and list the song they'd like to sing. Keep in mind though, the entire hall will be able to hear your rendition of Sexy and I Know it!

Adventure-seeking characters will be able to follow signs reading HAUNTED HOUSE and reach a large hall that was turned into a maze by large cardboard blocks painted black or covered by dark fabrics. Making it out of the maze won't be too hard and the maze itself won't be too frightening but will be mildly startling. It'll include some nifty engineered animatronics of witches, scarecrows, scary clowns and skeletons as well as holograms of ghosts! The song featured in the invitation will also be heard here, on repeat. It's a good break from the dancing and for some private conversations and moments.

Remember, costume are mandatory! you don't want to be caught by tonight's pumpkin kings, do you? ]

[ host #1 is dressed as the flash, and you know his costume is badass cuz the guy who made the original made it for him~ like a good host, winn makes the rounds all around the party, making sure to refill empty plates as long as stocks hold, and greeting friends and strangers alike. first couple people to show up without a costume are going to have random embarrassing hats thrown their way!

the pumpkin kings misused their power a tiny bit and signed up to sing the first song of the evening - ricky martin's living la vida loca. he'll make several repeated trips to the karaoke machine, both to enthusiastically enjoy other people's performances and to give his own throughout the night.

it's just as likely to find him enjoying the bar, with a taste of one snack or another, or tearing up the dance floor, usually with kitty, but he's not above dancing by himself, and synchronizing with cisco.

he occasionally checks in on the haunted house, either walking friends through it, or making minor repairs here and there. it was a rush cheap job, a little maintenance is required, okay! ]

[ kate bishop has abandoned her usual purpleish colour palette, instead favouring red and black. and while leaning by the bar, she'll happily gush to anyone about her costume. all you gotta do is buy her a drink, first.

[ with or without a partner, kate appears at home on the dance-floor. she genuinely enjoys the release that accompanies a night of dancing, and so it's difficult to say whether the flush in her cheeks is from a boozy buzz or a heady kind of happiness. she isn't shy -- and might come across as obnoxious when she grabs your hand and drags you onto the dancefloor with her. c'mon, she argues, it's all for fun.

[Natasha might not have the most creative costume, but she looks pretty damn good going the vampire bride(maybe slightly NSFW?) route. It looks like this Halloween, she's being a traditionalist.

She works the room like a pro though, mingling and chatting with people—or letting people chat with her, drink in hand and mysterious smile firmly in place. If she knows you, there's a good chance she'll either approach you herself, or invite you over with a well timed glance and a tilt of her head. If she doesn't know you, it's still likely that she'll say something in passing, opening the door to a conversation.

She hasn't signed up for karaoke yet or hit the dance floor, but the night is young. Maybe with a few more drinks and the right convincing, that can be changed.]

she's social enough: making idle chit-chat with familiar faces, once she puzzles through their costumes. or she's caught at the bar, trying to order something that most resembles a stiff whiskey. frankly, halloween doesn't mean much to her. but the pumpkin pie? she adores the pumpkin pie. someone might very well catch her pilfering a second piece. ]

She'll be spending a lot of time on the dance floor because she loves to dance whether it's with Winn or you! But she can't stay away from candy, ice cream, and liquid refreshments at the bar forever either.

Since she helped put together some of the things in the haunted house to help the boys out she'll need to check it out in it's entirety too. And if she occasionally needs to jump out of a wall to help out then that's just the kind of girl with the power of intangibility that she is! So, yes, literally moving through a solid wall. Not creepy at all, right?

[So all of this Halloween business is rather new to Riona, but after having learned about it, she's thrown herself into with gusto. It took some deciding, but she finally settled on going as a pirate, complete with a fancy hat. Per Leliana's insistence, said outfit is accented by a corset, though it's more or less hidden under all that fabric.

Riona has largely avoided alcohol the past few months, save for two occasions, but she's decided to let up on that prohibition and have some tonight. She can usually be found with a drink in hand, slightly buzzed but firmly not letting herself get terribly drunk. Still, she's definitely a little gigglier and lighthearted as she roams about, doing terrible pirate impersonations.]

I suppose as a pirate, I should be drinking rum. Or at least a terrible smelling ale.

[Dante's never been into the kitschier part of Halloween celebrations. Much of what a child loves about Halloween, Dante never got to experience. As he got older, he participated more in the mischief end of things. He's egged, TP-ed, and broke down a lot of mailboxes in his day... and worse.

But that's behind him now. Not to mention that the whole hunting demons thing sort of leaves a bad taste in his mouth regarding the holiday.

He almost scoffs at the idea of a costume, but he's more or less told that he absolutely has to wear something or he wasn't getting in. So he finally settles on a generic skull mask. Nothing fancy, but it passes.

Naturally, he's often at the bar. He's finally gotten his first stipend and that sucker is being blown on drinks. He knocks them back, and he knocks them back quickly. Yet he hardly seems worse for wear, even after having quite a few.

Beyond that, though, one might also find him eyeing that ice cream machine.]

Haunted house

[So really, he's not going in to get scared. That doesn't happen. But it's more to just experience something normal, close to home.

And even as he walks through, he can't help but admire that people stuck on these ships still managed to scrounge all of this together. It's not fright on his face, but a bit of admiration.

[To say that Gemini was sociopathic was an understatement, yet even for her the lure of a Halloween party was irresistible, it was that or stay cooped up on the Bishop or spend time down on the planet.

So there's a reptilian looking woman with surprisingly realistic snakes for hair sitting near the bar. She's mostly keeping to herself, watching the others dance, the drink beside her untouched, the snakes on her head hissing and coiling continuously.]

The Karaoke

[After a time Gemini wanders over to the Karaoke to glance at the list of those who've signed up. Perhaps she might sing using the voice of your favourite singer no less, but you'll have to be very good looking to persuade her into showing off.]

[Kitty is wearing her old school Captain America uniform as she heads over to the bar for a refill when she notices a cluster of snakes hissing in her direction.] Well, that is a hell of a short-notice costume. [No, really, what's happening?]

[he still can't believe he let Winn and Cisco talk him into wearing this and yet, here he is. It probably had to do with Winn making it for him and Cisco making faces, and him being unable to refuse but details. It's their fault, not his.

You'll likely find him standing in a corner somewhere, being the wallflower he is. You won't catch him on the dance floor on his own, anyway, but it isn't all that hard to drag him away from the safety of the wall.

Otherwise you can catch him at the bar, or taking a trip through the haunted house to see what his nerdbros came up with.

She might have cheated a little and just transformed hers onto her body, but at least she's not actually wearing their friend's face - that might be taking the Halloween theme just a little bit too far. Instead, she moves up to stand beside him at the bar, slipping her arm through his. ]

... You know, I never actually found out the male version's name. Supergirl and Superman, right? So Kara and...?

So, for now, she's just hanging back and staring intensely at anyone singing. It's probably a little strange for those up there, but hey, it's not like you're not already getting stared at?

Once she's satisfied her curiosity over there, she makes her way to the haunted house. She just walks through, completely ignoring all the attempts at scares. Honestly, it's hard for a haunted house to scare a youkai, after all. She exits looking rather disappointed, pouting about something or another in there.

Finally, she just ends up by the bar. There may not be any tea for her, but she's managed to buy a bottle of alcohol and procured a sake cup from... somewhere, anyway. Maybe you should join her for a drink?]

[Aria was fortunate enough to find something familiar-ish to wear. She even left her sword on her own ship, though she keeps shifting and patting her back, the lack of its weight bothering her.

Though she spends a bit of time at the bar, collecting drinks, and watching the karaoke machine, trying to understand how the hell it works, most of her time is actually spent inside the haunted house. She's not actually moving through it, or scared. She just found one of those hologram ghosts, and now she's just sticking her arm through it. Sticking her arm in, waving it, pulling it out, repeating. It's hard to tell whether she's more confused or amuse by this. Though this means that she's likely holding up anyone behind her in line.]

[ Padmé is walking through the haunted house. She hasn't been startled in the slightest, but she does appreciate Cisco's and Winn's handiwork. What they've managed to pull together with the limited parts available to them is impressive.

She stops when she sees Aria blocking the way. But it's a little amusing rather than irritating. She watches for a few seconds before approaching. ]

They made them look pretty lifelike, didn't they?

[ Hermione comes wandering into the room dressed a little more like she's attending a masquerade than a Halloween party, but anyone that recognises the formality of it will realise that she's actually more like a queen than she would let on; Morgana, from Arthurian legend, come to life. It helps, having seem the woman in the flesh, and Hermione knows that the woman she had seen in the Drabwurld had been stunning and incredible - she doesn't quite live up to it, but she does her best.

When she's not dancing with Cisco, her wonderful and very charming date for the evening, Hermione can mostly be found hanging around at the bar. Despite acquiring a taste for wine in the Drabwurld - thank you, Dorian Gray - she doesn't touch the stuff here, though she does admit to herself that she rather misses the simple taste of pumpkin juice, especially around Halloween time when there are decorations everywhere. It's incredibly distracting, and more often than not she can be caught staring at things with delight written all over her face.

When she's on the dance floor without Cisco it's mostly with other people, and when she dances with her friends she's laughing and happy, only glancing around when a song ends so she can see if she can find someone else to talk to or hang around with, at least until her date sweeps her off her feet again - not literally, that would hardly be practical, considering her dress...

At one point she makes her way over to the haunted house, wandering through with her wand helping her with a tiny, vague little lumos mostly there so she doesn't step on her own dress and end up a clattering mess on the ground. If she's offended by the depictions of witches she doesn't say anything - muggles don't really know, after all, do they... ]

[ as if this halloween party isn't enough to put winn in a great mood, the fact that his bro finally asked her out is there to push him over the edge. he spots her by the bar, and makes his way through the crowd to greet her. ]

-- wow. Hermione, you look incredible. [ everything about him from his voice to what little expression comes through his flash suit says this compliment is 100% genuine, and it is. he may not know the original, but the outfit seems like a perfect fit to him! ] Who are you? [ aside from the costumes they worked on together, winn and cisco haven't really shared with each who other people were planning to go as, so they too could enjoy the surprise. ]

[ Allen is an avid lover of Halloween. It was the best holiday, as far as he was concerned. So there was no doubt at all that he'd show up to this party. He's got a pirate costume, but since he's done pirates before? He's decided to spice it up by making it an undead pirate, and so his face is covered up in gray skull facepaint that's surprisingly thorough, with what must be contacts he got from Space Hot Topic that make his eyes yellow with cat-like pupils.

People who know him might still recognize him though with his white hair and Timcanpy sitting on his shoulder- wearing a tiny pirate hat and grinning with what looks like it was maybe supposed to be bloodied sharp teeth- but it looks a bit more like he tried to eat a tube of lipstick. Oh well.

Throughout the night, he might be found around the tables, chomping on what candy and pumpkin food he can get in an extremely good mood. Or he might be at the bar, only ordering soda but happy to chat with people there. If you're a friend, he might try to convince you to come with him to the Haunted House in a very excited manner. You could probably even convince him to dance if you play your cards right.

Basically, he's all over the place. Halloween is awesome, okay? ]

[Shirley catches Allen at the food tables. He looks a lot different with this costume, but she's not a stranger to picking out heads of white hair back home. The rest, though...she's impressed.]

[goodness! who is that top-hatted, suave and debonair man gliding through the lecture hall with his cape swooshing majestically behind him-- oh no wait, it's just Kaito, false alarm. even so, he wears the character just as much as he wears the costume: with practiced comfort and ease. if you happen to wander near him, you'll be greeted with a flashy grin and a cordial tip of his hat. and if you linger, you might be treated to a little extra entertainment to go with your Halloween fun]

Nice party, huh? But it wouldn't be Halloween without a few spooks, right? So I hope you don't mind if I ask. . . do you believe in ghosts?

[and with that question, he flicks his wrist, produces a deck of cards out of thin air, and begins shuffling same casually between his fingers. his eyes twinkle with mischief]

[Apart from her normal attitude, it seems like Opal is actually having a fairly good time here. There's even an occasional smile on her face, a rarity for her. She spends some of her time with Nightingale, but during the night she wanders around the rest of the party, too.

Early on, she can be found near the bar. Of course, she's not drinking anything stronger than soda, and taking special care not to spill any on her costume. She doesn't really dance, but she does sway a little whenever someone starts singing a song she particularly likes.

Later on, she can be found eyeing both the karaoke machine and the entrance to the haunted house. It seems like she could be persuaded to go for either.]

Mostly he can be found hanging around the bar, because it's where the alcohol is. He's definitely being sociable though. He'll say hi to people he knows, and probably make small talk with anyone who looks like they don't have anything better to do. Possibly about the karaoke performances.

Occasionally, Felix....lingers on the edges of the dance floor, but doesn't actually step onto it ever, at least not without prompting.

(He's not touching the karaoke himself with a 10-foot poll, not without a lot more alcohol in him but. Hey, people love a challenge, right?)]

[she's not much for parties, but she loves Halloween - which may be a little bit influenced given what she is, but that isn't important. What is important that she drags herself out of the library and goes with a suitable a costume. Had she been reading medieval stuff before? Probably.

She doesn't like dancing, so she hangs around the bar and the haunted house instead. Surprisingly enough, for someone so easily startled she finds it charming in an odd way. It isn't accurate, but well, a lot of spooky scary things aren't, she's found. Not that she's an expert.

[Your local bartender seems to have picked up a costume that's half witch and half barwench, juggling orders as fast as she can and bopping along to the music while she works. Sometimes she's on the customer side or by the snack tables to take a break while Sam helps out, but for once Nami feels less like mingling and more like working for reasons she's not gonna bring to the party. Why spoil anyone's mood, least of all hers?

That's it, that's the tag. Soda is free, so anyone can have as much alien not!coke as they like, and alcohol comes in at slightly reduced prices from its normal fare. Help keep a girl busy and get drinking.]

[ Padmé tends to wander all over. Sometimes she's at the bar, drinking a martini and watching everyone with a casual, serene look on her face. Sometimes the seat next to her is empty, and she'd be happy to have company.

Other times, she's near the dance floor, though she is loathe to dance alone. Most of her skillset revolves around having a partner.

Out of curiosity, she checks out the haunted house. The music is charming, if a little strange. Even though the maze is easy, she still hits a dead end from time to time and has to turn back. Hopefully she won't accidentally sneak up on anyone-- the click-clack of her heels should give her away but the music is quite loud.

Later in the night, she'll be resting near the karaoke machine and watching people in various states of inebriation trying to sing songs she's never heard before.

[ Despite some personal discomfort, Kara is dressed as classic Black Canary more out of necessity than any knowledge. (Winn, bless his heart, didn’t quite finish the costume to Cisco’s design direction). At least she has some shorts on?

In spite of her discomfort, she wants to have a good time and she is cheery and also hanging out near the bar, drinking soda and periodically pulling down on the shorts. She smiles whether she knows you or not, but if you’re someone familiar she’ll probably wave excitedly as soon as she spies you!

For karaoke, get ready! Kara is holding out for a hero (sans duet). She seriously has some pipes! After that performance (when it’s fair) she’ll perform wrecking ball as her encore.

She’s not much for the haunted house and she’ll need to be prodded to the dance floor, but it won’t take too much persuading, promise! ]

[ she can blame that fix on kitty, who put fishnets in his head. she pulls it off, in his opinion! a little too well. all the ladies look amazing at this party, he can't help but notice.

she gets a very enthusiastic cheer after her solo, complete with jumping up and down and whooo!!-ing. truly, he does the flash name proud. ]

Betamax-8 || OTA

If there's one thing a Guardian loves, it's a party. Betamax arrives with a handmade mask that no one is going to get but makes her giggle at herself regardless.

Dance Floor

If there's another thing Guardians love, it's dancing. Betamax seems to know a lot of the old classics from her world, that somehow survived the test of time and war; she's quite adept at the robot, the monster mash, thriller, jump up, and gangham style, among others. She's also eager to learn any new tricks if she sees someone else tearing up the dance floor.

Tables

While the bar doesn't really have anything that she feels is applicable to her system, she will opt to sit out every few songs and let her body relax. There's even less of a chance here for someone to undestand how Exos work, so Betamax has to be careful not to break herself from too much dancing!]

Karaoke machine

This is not something she's had any experience with, which means she must learn with gusto. Not recognizing most of the songs doesn't stop her from jumping in anytime someone needs a duet partner or there's a group seeking extra harmonies. Sometimes the best way to learn something is to just dive right in.

Haunted House

The hardest part for Betamax here will be not retaliating when startled. She's used to Thrall popping out of seemingly nowhere, and her ingrained instincts tell her PUNCH IT! while her reasonable brain is suggesting just the opposite. She walks around the maze with little fists pulled in tight against her chest, as if daring them to stay put anytime there's a loud noise or quick movement out nearby.

It's anyone's best guess how many people she will need to apologize too, especially those that startle her enough into using her push ability; that will sting with Void light and knock anyone back if she's not careful.
