[ on the night of the 28th, the lecture hall will open its gates though it'll look remarkably different. Winn and Cisco would have decorated the corridors leading to it with Jack-o'-lanterns made from the pumpkins gathered at the little patch on the planet. The hall itself will be similarly decorated, along with other traditional scary Halloween decorations made from paper and fabric ( don't ruin the little paper spiders, they took hours to make! ). There will be music from various times of Earth-1 and Earth-3, so don't be surprised to find Lady Gaga playing alongside the Spice Girls! Feel free to make requests or otherwise, just show your skills on the dance floor!

There will be a bar run by Nami offering free sodas, though you'll have to pay for your own alcohol ( remember, don't drink and fly! ). Alongside the bar, characters will find a few tables offering candy from Earth-1 won by Cisco at the game room with a little sign reading TAKE ONE, LEAVE SOME FOR OTHERS and quite a lot of space chips and protein dips as well as various candy from all over the different planets ( cleverly hoarded by Winn! ) and a large selection of pumpkin pies and pumpkin treats. Characters will also find a line leading to Cisco's trusty ice cream machine, though it'll only offer peanut butter flavored sorbet.

At the corner of the hall there will be a karaoke machine with a little sign-up sheet. Characters could sign up solo or in groups and list the song they'd like to sing. Keep in mind though, the entire hall will be able to hear your rendition of Sexy and I Know it!

Adventure-seeking characters will be able to follow signs reading HAUNTED HOUSE and reach a large hall that was turned into a maze by large cardboard blocks painted black or covered by dark fabrics. Making it out of the maze won't be too hard and the maze itself won't be too frightening but will be mildly startling. It'll include some nifty engineered animatronics of witches, scarecrows, scary clowns and skeletons as well as holograms of ghosts! The song featured in the invitation will also be heard here, on repeat. It's a good break from the dancing and for some private conversations and moments.

Remember, costume are mandatory! you don't want to be caught by tonight's pumpkin kings, do you? ]

Right - [ he kisses her ] that would mean the awkwardness will have an end, and my awkwardness cannot be stopped.

[ as if, he'll never have superpowers will he. and if he ever did, it'd probably be under sucky circumstances like cisco, like his dad kidnapping him and dumping radioactive sludge on him.

or you know, the version of that that doesn't end up killing you. ]

Well, we're already not from the same world, so there's already some of that. [No sludge baths!]

[ he won't go in one willingly, how's that? ]

Hmmm. Well, I would love you either way, but I think you're probably from Earth.

[Okayish.]

[ leaning in as they sway, he strokes her hair and whispers ]

Shh don't ruin the fantasy, I'm pretending I'm not related to my family.

[passingthrough]

[Smiling.] We're you're family. You know, in a non incesty way with me. [And hopefully not in a way that makes him freak out about commitment right this minute.]

[winn]

[ it doesn't, it makes him smile. ]

It's the best family ever.

[She's not sure she could say the same for herself. She's so happy with Winn, but she's still building up those other supports and it takes a little longer each time she has them all ripped away—her parents, the X-Men, her fellow inmates, and now the fleet. Harder to find that trust each time. Harder to get comfortable with them. Practice doesn't always make perfect. But it's going pretty well and more than anything...] I'm really glad you think so.

[winn]

[ winn hasn't had much of a family before the fleet, not since he was 11. it's going to make parting from them devastating - but right now he's not focusing on that, he's focusing on being well and truly happy for a change. ]

I'm really glad I have you.

[ understatement of his life. it feels like more people truly love him right now than knew he existed back home, there are no words to express how that feels. ]

[They compliment and show appreciation for each other a lot and yet sometimes it just lands a little harder.]

You're trying to make me cry at a party. [He makes her feel wanted, needed, and loved and it's just...everything.]

Sorry. [ he smiles and kisses her cheek. ]

Wanna sign up for a song, I can make you cry for other reasons -

[ those reasons are embarrassment, humiliation, and oh god no I don't know that guy. ]

Never be sorry for that. [Well, unless it was out of cruelty or something. But not when it's by making her heart feel like it's too full to hold a single extra feeling.]

And I know better than that. [Kisses back.]

[ he hopes that he would never be purposely cruel to her. or accidentally, either. ]

Spoilsport. [ but he smiles, leaning into the kiss. ]

Nuh uh. You. [Does that even make sense? Doesn't matter. Kissing again.]

Me? [ in between kisses ] I'm the sport maker - [ does that make any sense? look he set this party up he is clearly whatever's the opposite of spoilsport and then some. ]

The sport maker? What? [Laughing. She lost the train of thought that led to that, but it's adorable anyway. Winn doesn't do sports.]

Hey, I could make a sport! I could make up rules, make the uniforms and the equipment, and set up a place to play it -

[ and do everything except play it, basically. ]
