[ on the night of the 28th, the lecture hall will open its gates though it'll look remarkably different. Winn and Cisco would have decorated the corridors leading to it with Jack-o'-lanterns made from the pumpkins gathered at the little patch on the planet. The hall itself will be similarly decorated, along with other traditional scary Halloween decorations made from paper and fabric ( don't ruin the little paper spiders, they took hours to make! ). There will be music from various times of Earth-1 and Earth-3, so don't be surprised to find Lady Gaga playing alongside the Spice Girls! Feel free to make requests or otherwise, just show your skills on the dance floor!

There will be a bar run by Nami offering free sodas, though you'll have to pay for your own alcohol ( remember, don't drink and fly! ). Alongside the bar, characters will find a few tables offering candy from Earth-1 won by Cisco at the game room with a little sign reading TAKE ONE, LEAVE SOME FOR OTHERS and quite a lot of space chips and protein dips as well as various candy from all over the different planets ( cleverly hoarded by Winn! ) and a large selection of pumpkin pies and pumpkin treats. Characters will also find a line leading to Cisco's trusty ice cream machine, though it'll only offer peanut butter flavored sorbet.

At the corner of the hall there will be a karaoke machine with a little sign-up sheet. Characters could sign up solo or in groups and list the song they'd like to sing. Keep in mind though, the entire hall will be able to hear your rendition of Sexy and I Know it!

Adventure-seeking characters will be able to follow signs reading HAUNTED HOUSE and reach a large hall that was turned into a maze by large cardboard blocks painted black or covered by dark fabrics. Making it out of the maze won't be too hard and the maze itself won't be too frightening but will be mildly startling. It'll include some nifty engineered animatronics of witches, scarecrows, scary clowns and skeletons as well as holograms of ghosts! The song featured in the invitation will also be heard here, on repeat. It's a good break from the dancing and for some private conversations and moments.

Remember, costume are mandatory! you don't want to be caught by tonight's pumpkin kings, do you? ]

[Her tone is light, neither regretful nor wistful. Just a matter of fact.]

But you're flowers and holding hands, and that is not my speed.

Maybe not me - but you can't be entirely opposed to flowers.

I wouldn't say opposed. More like... not interested.

Flowers aren't something to be interested in, not anymore than handshakes.

[ nat, sometimes, he just can't understand you. ]

You know, back in my day, you showed up without flowers, you could get tossed out the door as easy as that.

[ smiling. he's still not entirely familiar with the modern way of flirting, ok. ]

You don't shake a girl's hand when you pick her up either. That makes giving flowers sound like a professional courtesy.

[Flirting isn't all that complicated, Rogers.]

I'd be more inclined to go out with someone if they gave me something I actually did want.

Well, they have to get to know you first, right?

[ and Natasha is perhaps one of his closest friends but she, even more than him, has a lot she tends to keep to herself. Steve has learned a lot about her during their friendship but he is very well aware that he's not close to knowing everything, nor does he want to be, if the price for that is her comfort. ]

Well. Getting to know me isn't always the best thing for my relationships.

[She makes it a joke, covering the truth in her statement.]

Nat, anyone would be lucky to get to know you, romantically or otherwise.

[She smiles at the compliment, but it's not a happy or convinced smile. Natasha doesn't have any intention of arguing with him about this though. She knows who she is; she's about the only person who does.

It would be narcissistic and awkward to make Steve defend it to herself.

When the song changes, she says:]

You know... I think it's time to cash in on that dance.

[ he might be a bit alarmed. the pace is quicker than what he's used to ]

Well - you're going to have to teach me.

[Her smile is a little more honest at that.]

[ and yet, he is almost nervous when they step onto the dance floor. ]

Are there even steps to learn these days?

There certainly could be. If it's less intimidating, I could always teach you to tango.

[Is she joking? She might not be joking.]

But it might be easier the other way.

[ he smiles a little. he almost tells her about the story behind it all, the right partner but that is perhaps for another night. ]

Focus on helping me not step on your toes for now.

Rogers, if you manage to step on my toes, I deserve it.

[Natasha is confident in her own skills, even if she can't be sure of his.]

[ he looks downright puzzled. ]

Don't people usually dance with each other than at each other?

[She smiles at him more gently then.]

Usually. Which is how you're going to show me—don't let this rattle you. The point is to let me be the judge of just how bad you are.

And let me worry about my own toes.

[uprightness]

--- That is supposed not to rattle me?

[ come on, romanoff. he sighs, a long suffering sort of sigh. still, he had agreed to this whole thing so he just gathers up his nerve and steps forward, entering her personal space, albeit awkwardly. ]

Do man still hold women when they dance to these songs?

A man better, or the woman might get a little impatient with him.

[He even asked her in the first place. But she smiles encouraging when he comes closer, taking his hands and guiding them to her waist. Once settled there, she reaches for his shoulders.]

[ he huffs out something that's mostly laughter. it's now where she can perhaps get a glimpse of the man before the serum, the one who was all angles and awkward. he dips his chin, takes a look at their feet. safe, for now. ]

[Which in this case, means revealing quite a lot. She knows Steve's attention isn't there, but she also has a pretty good idea how to keep him from watching his feet.]
