[ on the night of the 28th, the lecture hall will open its gates though it'll look remarkably different. Winn and Cisco would have decorated the corridors leading to it with Jack-o'-lanterns made from the pumpkins gathered at the little patch on the planet. The hall itself will be similarly decorated, along with other traditional scary Halloween decorations made from paper and fabric ( don't ruin the little paper spiders, they took hours to make! ). There will be music from various times of Earth-1 and Earth-3, so don't be surprised to find Lady Gaga playing alongside the Spice Girls! Feel free to make requests or otherwise, just show your skills on the dance floor!

There will be a bar run by Nami offering free sodas, though you'll have to pay for your own alcohol ( remember, don't drink and fly! ). Alongside the bar, characters will find a few tables offering candy from Earth-1 won by Cisco at the game room with a little sign reading TAKE ONE, LEAVE SOME FOR OTHERS and quite a lot of space chips and protein dips as well as various candy from all over the different planets ( cleverly hoarded by Winn! ) and a large selection of pumpkin pies and pumpkin treats. Characters will also find a line leading to Cisco's trusty ice cream machine, though it'll only offer peanut butter flavored sorbet.

At the corner of the hall there will be a karaoke machine with a little sign-up sheet. Characters could sign up solo or in groups and list the song they'd like to sing. Keep in mind though, the entire hall will be able to hear your rendition of Sexy and I Know it!

Adventure-seeking characters will be able to follow signs reading HAUNTED HOUSE and reach a large hall that was turned into a maze by large cardboard blocks painted black or covered by dark fabrics. Making it out of the maze won't be too hard and the maze itself won't be too frightening but will be mildly startling. It'll include some nifty engineered animatronics of witches, scarecrows, scary clowns and skeletons as well as holograms of ghosts! The song featured in the invitation will also be heard here, on repeat. It's a good break from the dancing and for some private conversations and moments.

Remember, costume are mandatory! you don't want to be caught by tonight's pumpkin kings, do you? ]

[She smiles at the compliment, but it's not a happy or convinced smile. Natasha doesn't have any intention of arguing with him about this though. She knows who she is; she's about the only person who does.

It would be narcissistic and awkward to make Steve defend it to herself.

When the song changes, she says:]

You know... I think it's time to cash in on that dance.

[ he might be a bit alarmed. the pace is quicker than what he's used to ]

Well - you're going to have to teach me.

[Her smile is a little more honest at that.]

You know I have your back.

[ and yet, he is almost nervous when they step onto the dance floor. ]

Are there even steps to learn these days?

There certainly could be. If it's less intimidating, I could always teach you to tango.

[Is she joking? She might not be joking.]

But it might be easier the other way.

Pretty sure I'd make a fool out of myself.

[ tango, good grief. ]

Let's stick with the modern stuff.

[ how quickly he concedes. ]

It's too bad. We could make you into quite the dance partner.

[She offers her hands to him, her smile encouraging.]</small

[ he smiles a little. he almost tells her about the story behind it all, the right partner but that is perhaps for another night. ]

Focus on helping me not step on your toes for now.

Rogers, if you manage to step on my toes, I deserve it.

[Natasha is confident in her own skills, even if she can't be sure of his.]

[ he looks downright puzzled. ]

Don't people usually dance with each other than at each other?

[She smiles at him more gently then.]

Usually. Which is how you're going to show me—don't let this rattle you. The point is to let me be the judge of just how bad you are.

And let me worry about my own toes.

[uprightness]

--- That is supposed not to rattle me?

[ come on, romanoff. he sighs, a long suffering sort of sigh. still, he had agreed to this whole thing so he just gathers up his nerve and steps forward, entering her personal space, albeit awkwardly. ]

Do man still hold women when they dance to these songs?

A man better, or the woman might get a little impatient with him.

[He even asked her in the first place. But she smiles encouraging when he comes closer, taking his hands and guiding them to her waist. Once settled there, she reaches for his shoulders.]

[ he huffs out something that's mostly laughter. it's now where she can perhaps get a glimpse of the man before the serum, the one who was all angles and awkward. he dips his chin, takes a look at their feet. safe, for now. ]

Eyes up here, Rogers. Otherwise I might start thinking you're trying to look down the front of my dress.

[Which in this case, means revealing quite a lot. She knows Steve's attention isn't there, but she also has a pretty good idea how to keep him from watching his feet.]

Have I told you lately you're hilarious?

[ but look at him obeying her at once, dry as his tone might be. ]

alright - now - what are the steps?

Traditionally, you should be the one leading you know.

[Natasha's smile doesn't waver. She taps one of his feet lightly with her toe.]

Step forward with this foot.

Never figured I'm partnering off with a traditional girl.

[ there it is, a more familiar dance, their banter. easier than the more physical one but steve does as she says. ]

right.

[Natasha steps back at the same time as Steve, graceful and light on her feet, working with him as easily dancing as sparring against him or fighting along side him.]

You might be surprised. At least in some respects.

[She keeps up the banter as she subtly leads him into the next step. Nothing fancy, but a slow dance a little more impressive than just swaying in each other's arms.]

I do like a dance.

I've never seen you dance.

[ though she is good at it, elegant and graceful and light, as if this is nothing. this is what dancing must be like, he thinks, a give and take, two people in sync. it's easier with her once the stress eases, to match his moves to her. maybe it's the hours they spent in the avengers facility, the way they seem to work well together in battle. ]

Well. I like this. And you're not as bad as you like to pretend.

[In a way, it is like fighting along side him. They've clicked well in that regard nearly from the beginning.This does have the advantage of being non violent, though.

Nice to think they could be good at something other than hurting people.]
