🎃 HALLOWEEN MINGLE 🎃
Who: everyone ( yes, you too!)
Broadcast: N/A
Action: aboard the Iskaulit!
When: current

[ on the night of the 28th, the lecture hall will open its gates though it'll look remarkably different. Winn and Cisco would have decorated the corridors leading to it with Jack-o'-lanterns made from the pumpkins gathered at the little patch on the planet. The hall itself will be similarly decorated, along with other traditional scary Halloween decorations made from paper and fabric ( don't ruin the little paper spiders, they took hours to make! ). There will be music from various times of Earth-1 and Earth-3, so don't be surprised to find Lady Gaga playing alongside the Spice Girls! Feel free to make requests or otherwise, just show your skills on the dance floor!
There will be a bar run by Nami offering free sodas, though you'll have to pay for your own alcohol ( remember, don't drink and fly! ). Alongside the bar, characters will find a few tables offering candy from Earth-1 won by Cisco at the game room with a little sign reading TAKE ONE, LEAVE SOME FOR OTHERS and quite a lot of space chips and protein dips as well as various candy from all over the different planets ( cleverly hoarded by Winn! ) and a large selection of pumpkin pies and pumpkin treats. Characters will also find a line leading to Cisco's trusty ice cream machine, though it'll only offer peanut butter flavored sorbet.
At the corner of the hall there will be a karaoke machine with a little sign-up sheet. Characters could sign up solo or in groups and list the song they'd like to sing. Keep in mind though, the entire hall will be able to hear your rendition of Sexy and I Know it!
Adventure-seeking characters will be able to follow signs reading HAUNTED HOUSE and reach a large hall that was turned into a maze by large cardboard blocks painted black or covered by dark fabrics. Making it out of the maze won't be too hard and the maze itself won't be too frightening but will be mildly startling. It'll include some nifty engineered animatronics of witches, scarecrows, scary clowns and skeletons as well as holograms of ghosts! The song featured in the invitation will also be heard here, on repeat. It's a good break from the dancing and for some private conversations and moments.
Remember, costume are mandatory! you don't want to be caught by tonight's pumpkin kings, do you? ]

[ does it surprise anyone they group-costumed? they forced him into a superman suit. ]
It's not a bad job - who are you?

[ she makes a note to catch hold of hank -- and soon, so she can see what all the fuss is about. but as for her costume? kate decides not to press him for a drink. he's too good of a friend to be blackmailed for information as simple as... ]
Wiccan. I figured I'd go as one of the coolest heroes I know. [ not to mention one of the biggest goddamned hearts. ] A slightly curvier version of him, at least.
no subject
One of the coolest heroes you know - and you've never told me about him?
[ the betrayal! he's not sure who should feel more betrayal right now, him or this wiccan. ] This injustice must be rectified, Bishop.
no subject
Billy. Sorry -- [ kate smiles. ] Billy Kaplan. I never mentioned his Avengers name.
no subject
[ he nudges her lightly, the smile returning to his face. ]
So what does he do?
no subject
[ her eyes shift off winn -- as if she might be looking for someone else, but can't find them in the crowd. the scarlet witch. ]
God, I've gotten sloppy. Giving away everyone's code names left and right. If he ever shows up, I'll hafta eat some major crow.
no subject
[ it's his turn to pat her shoulder, and he takes it a step further turning it into a sort of half-hug. ]
If he ever shows up, I'll turn up the charm and he'll tell me himself.
[ a guy who can warp reality and turn clouds into cotton candy? he needs to be his friend. ]
no subject
You'd like him. He might be more magical than technological, but he's still a hopeless geek. Any cred I have is thanks to him and Teddy. Swear to God.
[ she will endure a lot of movie marathons out of love for those two. ]
no subject
[ look kate vouching for him is all he really needs. ] I'm sure Cisco and Hank would agree that they both get honorary admission to the Nerd Squad on that alone.

[ it's out of his mouth before his brain ever catches up. he doesn't even know what ms. america looks like, but kate is stunning, he's willing to bet she'll pull off anything. ]

Anytime, Bishop.
[ he retracts his arm and offers a salute, before nodding. ]
Yeah, I'll take a beer, thanks.
no subject
two beers, thanks.
and while they wait: ] You guys did an amazing job with the lecture hall, you know. And the party. It's appreciated.
no subject
Did you check out the haunted house yet?

Maybe make it three.
[ it probably still won't be enough, they made it pretty family friendly. it's got a lot of really cool stuff - holograms, moving monsters, exploding heads - but everything was purposely made unrealistic and more cool than scary. they're here to have a good time, not prove their very real abilities to make the whole fleet shit itself. ]
