You are cordially invited to Cisco and Winn's Not-Too-Terrifying Halloween Costume Party!

[ on the night of the 28th, the lecture hall will open its gates though it'll look remarkably different. Winn and Cisco would have decorated the corridors leading to it with Jack-o'-lanterns made from the pumpkins gathered at the little patch on the planet. The hall itself will be similarly decorated, along with other traditional scary Halloween decorations made from paper and fabric ( don't ruin the little paper spiders, they took hours to make! ). There will be music from various times of Earth-1 and Earth-3, so don't be surprised to find Lady Gaga playing alongside the Spice Girls! Feel free to make requests or otherwise, just show your skills on the dance floor!

There will be a bar run by Nami offering free sodas, though you'll have to pay for your own alcohol ( remember, don't drink and fly! ). Alongside the bar, characters will find a few tables offering candy from Earth-1 won by Cisco at the game room with a little sign reading TAKE ONE, LEAVE SOME FOR OTHERS and quite a lot of space chips and protein dips as well as various candy from all over the different planets ( cleverly hoarded by Winn! ) and a large selection of pumpkin pies and pumpkin treats. Characters will also find a line leading to Cisco's trusty ice cream machine, though it'll only offer peanut butter flavored sorbet.

At the corner of the hall there will be a karaoke machine with a little sign-up sheet. Characters could sign up solo or in groups and list the song they'd like to sing. Keep in mind though, the entire hall will be able to hear your rendition of Sexy and I Know it!

Adventure-seeking characters will be able to follow signs reading HAUNTED HOUSE and reach a large hall that was turned into a maze by large cardboard blocks painted black or covered by dark fabrics. Making it out of the maze won't be too hard and the maze itself won't be too frightening but will be mildly startling. It'll include some nifty engineered animatronics of witches, scarecrows, scary clowns and skeletons as well as holograms of ghosts! The song featured in the invitation will also be heard here, on repeat. It's a good break from the dancing and for some private conversations and moments.

Remember, costume are mandatory! you don't want to be caught by tonight's pumpkin kings, do you? ]

Oh, superpowers! I'm assuming you mean magic or something equivalent, then. I'm guessing someone from your universe, huh?

[Man, one day she should totally come to one of these as Luffy.]

Actually no - I'm the Flash [ pose! ] he's a meta-human superhero from Cisco's world. He's really fast.

[ nod nod. it's more impressive than it sounds! ]

And he chose the Flash. Got it. [Nami raises her eyebrows. She's so amused, but she'll refrain from making trenchcoat jokes. Right this second, anyway.]

So who made the costume? Cisco?

Flash is a good name.

[ that's cisco's bff, and cisco's his bro so he's protective by association! ]

Yup, pretty awesome, right? [ he takes a spin so she can check it out. ] He also made his Green Arrow suit. And I made Kara's, Kitty's, Hank's and Jim's.

[Nami gives a low appreciative whistle.]

That's a heck of a lot of work. And it looks good! [Well, it fits well.] How long did it take?

I've completely lost track of time, the last couple weeks have just kinda merged together - I'm actually having trouble convincing my hands they're not at a sewing machine half the time.

[ but sanity is a small price to pay for a party, right? ]

[Sanity seems highly overrated in places like these.]

I guess it gave you something to do. I hope your friends appreciated all the work you put in.

[ he chuckles awkwardly because, well, his friends would argue that the only thing he needs to do is go to sleep, he's always finding stuff to occupy himself with. ]

Yeah, they're pretty good with the appreciation thing. [ he leans his elbows against the bar, and rests his head on his hands. ] How about you? Having a good time or is it all work?

Good enough. [She can relate. Nami has a tendency to fill her own days ridiculously to keep from thinking too much. She taps forward the wide brim of her witch hat.]

Working bar lets me talk to plenty of people and the atmosphere is great here. You guys really did a good job.

Thanks again for supplying it - really kicked the party up to the next level.

[ it's not that he can't have fun without alcohol, but it's halloween, they're on a sucky planet, he's tired, he doesn't want to have sober fun tonight. ]

You're welcome! Besides, it's good for business.

[And $$$. Always a plus, even if she discounted everything. But Nami just likes to keep busy, so this works.] I'm curious, though. Who's gonna be cleaning up afterward?

Uh, same people who set it up, unless someone wants to volunteer to help. [ he shrugs. they haven't asked anyone to do it, and they haven't hired anyone either - so it's gonna be a very long night even after the party winds down. ]

Maybe you could offer incentive for cleaners or some such. Pick your volunteers now before people aren't too drunk and offer them a prize of some kind.

[Because two people cleaning up this mess?] You could probably borrow some of those cleaning bots from the ships, too.

That'll cut into your profit margin.

[ he smiles; he's not gonna get in the way of people who wanna get drunk tonight.

he's sure there will be plenty who are sober when the night ends - people like kara and steve who can't get drunk, along with people who choose not to - and some of them will insist on helping - those he'll have. but he's terrible at asking for help. he's not even the greatest at taking it when it's offered... ]

Cleaning bots are a good idea though -

[PROFIT MARKET CUTTING we can't have that. But Nami knows there's a bunch of people here who'd offer to help, and she'll organise the cleanup of the bar area with Sam, most likely, so that's one thing.]

It'll save you having to do much of the actual cleaning and more like putting things away.
