You are cordially invited to Cisco and Winn's Not-Too-Terrifying Halloween Costume Party!

[ on the night of the 28th, the lecture hall will open its gates though it'll look remarkably different. Winn and Cisco would have decorated the corridors leading to it with Jack-o'-lanterns made from the pumpkins gathered at the little patch on the planet. The hall itself will be similarly decorated, along with other traditional scary Halloween decorations made from paper and fabric ( don't ruin the little paper spiders, they took hours to make! ). There will be music from various times of Earth-1 and Earth-3, so don't be surprised to find Lady Gaga playing alongside the Spice Girls! Feel free to make requests or otherwise, just show your skills on the dance floor!

There will be a bar run by Nami offering free sodas, though you'll have to pay for your own alcohol ( remember, don't drink and fly! ). Alongside the bar, characters will find a few tables offering candy from Earth-1 won by Cisco at the game room with a little sign reading TAKE ONE, LEAVE SOME FOR OTHERS and quite a lot of space chips and protein dips as well as various candy from all over the different planets ( cleverly hoarded by Winn! ) and a large selection of pumpkin pies and pumpkin treats. Characters will also find a line leading to Cisco's trusty ice cream machine, though it'll only offer peanut butter flavored sorbet.

At the corner of the hall there will be a karaoke machine with a little sign-up sheet. Characters could sign up solo or in groups and list the song they'd like to sing. Keep in mind though, the entire hall will be able to hear your rendition of Sexy and I Know it!

Adventure-seeking characters will be able to follow signs reading HAUNTED HOUSE and reach a large hall that was turned into a maze by large cardboard blocks painted black or covered by dark fabrics. Making it out of the maze won't be too hard and the maze itself won't be too frightening but will be mildly startling. It'll include some nifty engineered animatronics of witches, scarecrows, scary clowns and skeletons as well as holograms of ghosts! The song featured in the invitation will also be heard here, on repeat. It's a good break from the dancing and for some private conversations and moments.

Remember, costume are mandatory! you don't want to be caught by tonight's pumpkin kings, do you? ]

Mine was more of a thrift store effort, and I'm pretty sure I paid way too much for the hat. Your costume is in a whole other league though!

Finally? I didn't know I was overdue! Damn, you think the fastest man alive could get to things in a timely manner -

[ you'd be wrong, of course, but he's not going to expose barry's chronic tardiness, he's never even met the guy.

Can't take credit for it, Cisco made it - but I did make a couple others in this room - if you know my name I'm guessing at least one of these is familiar - Kitty Pryde, Kara Danvers, Hank McCoy, Jim Kirk? [ he made all of theirs! ]

What's the Justice League? [ it sounds cool! ]

[Oh no. He's said too much, and maybe by saying too much he has assured that the Justice League might never exist.]

Oh, it's nothing. Just what I like to call big groups of superheroes. On account of their being all about justice and teamwork and the American way. Have you noticed a lot of them are American?

[winn]

That's a cool name - [ or maybe, he just named it when it does happen! ] in that case, yeah, not the whole thing but we've got a Justice League - Cisco's Green Arrow, Hank's Superman, Kara's Black Canary, Raven's Supergirl and Kitty's Captain America.

[ one of these things is not like the others, but nobody told him about the dc-marvel divide.

he laughs and nods. ] I know, at this point can anyone even really blame us for the ego? [ look at all the superheroes they got. ]

[arfvader]

[Now Ravi is just sad that he didn't go for a Batman costume. Not that he could have in any way, shape, or form made a passable Batman costume on his budget. Still!]

I mean, you could stand to rub it in a little less. Besides, we've got...

[Long pause while he tries to think of a famous British superhero.]

... Sherlock Holmes?

[ this is why it's good to be friends with the costume makers!

It's okay, if you're in trouble, we share.

[He laughs in a good-natured way at that.]

That should be the motto of your superhero team. You can put it on all the merchandising!

We already have a motto - stronger together.

[ even though supergirl usually works alone, back when he's from. well. alone-ish, the together refers to her back-office team. or teams actually. ]

Besides, merchandise is notoriously unshared.

You're partially responsible for this party, yeah? Because, let me tell you, it is a fantastic party! Not that I've had much experience celebrating Halloween in space, and yet I am absolutely willing to go on record to say that this is clearly one of the best!

It's our first too so we mostly improvised but I think we did pretty awesome anyway - I'm glad you're enjoying it.

It's the first bit of fun I've had in weeks that hasn't been at my expense!

[Never mind that his dancing and singing skills probably make this statement at least somewhat untrue.]

[ ok if he's aiding a superhero and makes supersuits, winn will accept him as another alternate version of himself, like cisco and hank. ]

[Well, there was that time Liv at the brain of a vigilante, basically making her a superhero?]

There hasn't been "hanging around" so much as "kitchen disasters with consequences"! But Kara did assure me that you would be one of "my people", so to speak.

[ totally counts! ]

Kara should know, she's my best friend. [ even through the mask, the fondness comes through. ] Have you met Cisco and Hank? The three of us are kinda like the three nerdsketeers.

I know Hank, but I've yet to have the pleasure of meeting Cisco! Kara was telling me about your "think tank" and how it's the fastest way to get on her coffee delivery list though! Any chance you have room for a d'Artagnan on your crew? I have a science degree and everything!

A love of science and karaoke is pretty much all you need. Or, well, a tolerance of it in Hank's case. Which ship are you on?

Yes! I'm in the club!

[He does a little victory fist-pump at that!]

I'm on The Three Twins as a cook. Our labs support dabbles in healing magic and has told me in no uncertain terms that he basically thinks my brand of medicine is barbaric.

[He drops his voice to a whisper.]

But I'm pretty sure he secretly likes me.

I've been actually learning a little medicine from dr. Crusher - she's really cool, if you don't know her yet - I bet you'd enjoy talking shop. She's really nice.
