[ on the night of the 28th, the lecture hall will open its gates though it'll look remarkably different. Winn and Cisco would have decorated the corridors leading to it with Jack-o'-lanterns made from the pumpkins gathered at the little patch on the planet. The hall itself will be similarly decorated, along with other traditional scary Halloween decorations made from paper and fabric ( don't ruin the little paper spiders, they took hours to make! ). There will be music from various times of Earth-1 and Earth-3, so don't be surprised to find Lady Gaga playing alongside the Spice Girls! Feel free to make requests or otherwise, just show your skills on the dance floor!

There will be a bar run by Nami offering free sodas, though you'll have to pay for your own alcohol ( remember, don't drink and fly! ). Alongside the bar, characters will find a few tables offering candy from Earth-1 won by Cisco at the game room with a little sign reading TAKE ONE, LEAVE SOME FOR OTHERS and quite a lot of space chips and protein dips as well as various candy from all over the different planets ( cleverly hoarded by Winn! ) and a large selection of pumpkin pies and pumpkin treats. Characters will also find a line leading to Cisco's trusty ice cream machine, though it'll only offer peanut butter flavored sorbet.

At the corner of the hall there will be a karaoke machine with a little sign-up sheet. Characters could sign up solo or in groups and list the song they'd like to sing. Keep in mind though, the entire hall will be able to hear your rendition of Sexy and I Know it!

Adventure-seeking characters will be able to follow signs reading HAUNTED HOUSE and reach a large hall that was turned into a maze by large cardboard blocks painted black or covered by dark fabrics. Making it out of the maze won't be too hard and the maze itself won't be too frightening but will be mildly startling. It'll include some nifty engineered animatronics of witches, scarecrows, scary clowns and skeletons as well as holograms of ghosts! The song featured in the invitation will also be heard here, on repeat. It's a good break from the dancing and for some private conversations and moments.

Remember, costume are mandatory! you don't want to be caught by tonight's pumpkin kings, do you? ]

[ before the fleet, he could do the same, and not by choice. getting to have a lot of people accept him and care for him is an incredible experience for him, one he intends to make the best of. it doesn't matter if people won't do as much for him as he does for them, he wants to be there for them. yeah, there are degrees of friendships - she's not a close friend, and really acquaintance might be a better word but he never liked it, it feels so cold - but he enjoys spending time with her when it happens, she's fun to talk to, she's kind to him, and that's all he really needs to get attached.

it's not that he doesn't understand the response, it's that he's been starved for affection for far too long, and he's willing to take any scraps offered, even now. ]

The ready-made response for that kinda feels weird here - [ narrowing his eyes a little with a smile. 'the honor's all mine' at getting to call her a friend and doing her a favor just feels a little too needy, even for him. ]

No matter. [ a wave of her hand, and she dismisses the thought. ] I've never much been one for the ready-made.

Me neither, I like to make my own. Unless we're talking food, in which case this whole cooking for the party deal is a one-off, I'm all about the ready-made.

I may need to agree with you on that front, [ she confesses. ] I've never really been best-suited to the kitchen.

[ such an understatement. ]

[ holding a hand up for a high five - when he has his way, he lives on cereals, snacks, takeout, and tv dinners. ]

[ she stares at him. she stares at his hand. she stares at him again.

-- yeahno. peggy carter doesn't high five. instead, she clears her throat. ]

[ and there she goes! offering one of her own. thumb, decidedly up. ]

[ well he's feeling judged. it kinda makes him homesick.

hand goes down and both thumbs go up with a side of awkward smile. ]

Who doesn't love pie - which kind's your favorite? They were pretty great on the hand holding planet - [ so much nostalgia for that place. definitely the best stop so far...even though the faction planet was a great place for work and tech shopping, he hated the divide. ]

Key lime. It's worth moving to America for that pie alone, Winn. [ -- and maybe because answering with 'apple' is just a little too on the nose for someone like her. ] Although pumpkin is becoming a fast runner-up.

We should put it on a giant sign at immigration: Welcome to the United States of America, home of the key lime pie. [ filing that information for future usage... ]

[ he and cisco worked so hard, it may be a silly thing to be really excited about but he's really excited about it so just deal with it, ok! ]

If we can get more stock from the planet, we could make some more. [ ... ] Maybe we can freeze some for later...

[ he nods. which is good because if his friends weren't keeping him in check he would have been so much worse. ]

And yet I imagine it still can't be helped. [ how can one person sound both stern and indulgent at once? ] I confess I know a thing or two about taking on more than one's fair share of the work.

I get the feeling a lot of people around here have some experience with that.
