🎃 HALLOWEEN MINGLE 🎃
Who: everyone ( yes, you too!)
Broadcast: N/A
Action: aboard the Iskaulit!
When: current

[ on the night of the 28th, the lecture hall will open its gates though it'll look remarkably different. Winn and Cisco would have decorated the corridors leading to it with Jack-o'-lanterns made from the pumpkins gathered at the little patch on the planet. The hall itself will be similarly decorated, along with other traditional scary Halloween decorations made from paper and fabric ( don't ruin the little paper spiders, they took hours to make! ). There will be music from various times of Earth-1 and Earth-3, so don't be surprised to find Lady Gaga playing alongside the Spice Girls! Feel free to make requests or otherwise, just show your skills on the dance floor!
There will be a bar run by Nami offering free sodas, though you'll have to pay for your own alcohol ( remember, don't drink and fly! ). Alongside the bar, characters will find a few tables offering candy from Earth-1 won by Cisco at the game room with a little sign reading TAKE ONE, LEAVE SOME FOR OTHERS and quite a lot of space chips and protein dips as well as various candy from all over the different planets ( cleverly hoarded by Winn! ) and a large selection of pumpkin pies and pumpkin treats. Characters will also find a line leading to Cisco's trusty ice cream machine, though it'll only offer peanut butter flavored sorbet.
At the corner of the hall there will be a karaoke machine with a little sign-up sheet. Characters could sign up solo or in groups and list the song they'd like to sing. Keep in mind though, the entire hall will be able to hear your rendition of Sexy and I Know it!
Adventure-seeking characters will be able to follow signs reading HAUNTED HOUSE and reach a large hall that was turned into a maze by large cardboard blocks painted black or covered by dark fabrics. Making it out of the maze won't be too hard and the maze itself won't be too frightening but will be mildly startling. It'll include some nifty engineered animatronics of witches, scarecrows, scary clowns and skeletons as well as holograms of ghosts! The song featured in the invitation will also be heard here, on repeat. It's a good break from the dancing and for some private conversations and moments.
Remember, costume are mandatory! you don't want to be caught by tonight's pumpkin kings, do you? ]

[Instead of leaving her guessing how many countries and continents there are. So he reaches up and pulls Tim off his shoulder, holding him in his hands]
Tim, could you show us Earth's world map? The one we found in Paradisa's library.
[Tim takes a second before he opens up his mouth wide. From his mouth, a holographic projection of a world map appears.]
There we go. This is from about a century after my time, but that's Earth. [Because it's really hard to find a good 19th century world map] Each different coloured area is a different country. Russia's the really big pink one.

[She starts scanning it for a moment.]
... I'd need to study it a bit more for all the little ones, but that should be enough.

Right...
How about we make it a little easier for you. Has Opal said where on Earth she's from?
no subject
[she's trying her best but earth is hard.]

[He has Timcanpy zoom in on America in the map, and takes a few moments to look very carefully because man, he does not know America that well]
Ah, there! [He points to Washington state] There's Washington. Part of the United States of America.

[she's seen some shit in her multiverse kidnapping, okay.]
She mentioned it rains there a lot?
no subject
Hey! Not everything important is from America or Japan! America wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for Britain!

The United Kingdom. Also known as Great Britain.
You know, because it's great.

[What? He's been to a lot of places Britain's been "colonizing", it's hard not to see where his country is a bit dickish.]
Anyway, I'll admit Atroma seems to have a bias for Americans and Japanese. I don't know why, but they are far from the only important countries on Earth.
Though, luckily for you, you can probably just stick to learning American things to impress Opal.

[Might get some looks.]
Well, that's okay! We can start with America! [Points as he talks.] That's Washington. There's California, Clay's from there. New York. [pointing gets a little hesitant] ...er, Nevada! Yeah! And um... [starts making a big circle with his finger as if he's trying to lump together the entire middle section of the US] ...K-Kansas....
[....Yeah Nightingale maybe you don't have to know as much as you think you need to know]
no subject
[She's kind of looking at him.]
... Aren't you from this world?
no subject
[Move closer so he could squint at the tiny names on the map. Damn it's too bad his reading glasses would smudge up his makeup ]
Okay. [Pointing That's Kansas, and that's...[Squint and then of course, slaughtering how it's said] - Arrr-Kansas?
no subject
let's just ignore Allen for a moment.]
Hey, Timcampi? Can you zoom in, or make the map bigger, please?
no subject
But Timcanpy will gladly oblige and make the map bigger for her]
no subject
[She sounds a little smug as she turns back to Allen.]
no subject
Yes, thank you. I don't have my glasses tonight.
