[ on the night of the 28th, the lecture hall will open its gates though it'll look remarkably different. Winn and Cisco would have decorated the corridors leading to it with Jack-o'-lanterns made from the pumpkins gathered at the little patch on the planet. The hall itself will be similarly decorated, along with other traditional scary Halloween decorations made from paper and fabric ( don't ruin the little paper spiders, they took hours to make! ). There will be music from various times of Earth-1 and Earth-3, so don't be surprised to find Lady Gaga playing alongside the Spice Girls! Feel free to make requests or otherwise, just show your skills on the dance floor!

There will be a bar run by Nami offering free sodas, though you'll have to pay for your own alcohol ( remember, don't drink and fly! ). Alongside the bar, characters will find a few tables offering candy from Earth-1 won by Cisco at the game room with a little sign reading TAKE ONE, LEAVE SOME FOR OTHERS and quite a lot of space chips and protein dips as well as various candy from all over the different planets ( cleverly hoarded by Winn! ) and a large selection of pumpkin pies and pumpkin treats. Characters will also find a line leading to Cisco's trusty ice cream machine, though it'll only offer peanut butter flavored sorbet.

At the corner of the hall there will be a karaoke machine with a little sign-up sheet. Characters could sign up solo or in groups and list the song they'd like to sing. Keep in mind though, the entire hall will be able to hear your rendition of Sexy and I Know it!

Adventure-seeking characters will be able to follow signs reading HAUNTED HOUSE and reach a large hall that was turned into a maze by large cardboard blocks painted black or covered by dark fabrics. Making it out of the maze won't be too hard and the maze itself won't be too frightening but will be mildly startling. It'll include some nifty engineered animatronics of witches, scarecrows, scary clowns and skeletons as well as holograms of ghosts! The song featured in the invitation will also be heard here, on repeat. It's a good break from the dancing and for some private conversations and moments.

Remember, costume are mandatory! you don't want to be caught by tonight's pumpkin kings, do you? ]

[ as if this halloween party isn't enough to put winn in a great mood, the fact that his bro finally asked her out is there to push him over the edge. he spots her by the bar, and makes his way through the crowd to greet her. ]

-- wow. Hermione, you look incredible. [ everything about him from his voice to what little expression comes through his flash suit says this compliment is 100% genuine, and it is. he may not know the original, but the outfit seems like a perfect fit to him! ] Who are you? [ aside from the costumes they worked on together, winn and cisco haven't really shared with each who other people were planning to go as, so they too could enjoy the surprise. ]

[ Hermione can't help the way she brightens, or the way that her cheeks flush a little crazily when Winn comes over. She's been complimented before, of course, but it feels... Different, now. She's someone's date. ]

Thanks, Winn. You look amazing too. [ And she means it, too. It's obvious that he and Cisco have gone all out with their costumes and it's absolutely amazing. Shifting closer, she tilts her head up, offering a small smile. ] I'm a famous witch Queen, of course. Lady Morgana le Fay. [ And she gives him a gentle curtsey. ]

[ he takes an over the top bow in return, and smiles brightly when he straightens up. ]

Thanks, this is a Cisco Ramon original. [ he's always happy to give his friend credit, but with her he's extra-eager. ] Did he make yours too or did you - magic it up?

[ That makes her laugh, shaking her head as she moves closer. It's nice to just talk to Winn, even if her cheeks are flaring red. ]

Cisco helped me make it, actually. It was after he - um. Asked me.

[ and to him, it's nice to talk to hermione, and it's nice to not be the one blushing in a conversation for a change. ]

The red should've tipped me off - [ he chuckles. ] How'd he end up doing it? [ yes, he's being nosy now, but that's his twin-bro. ]

[ She settles down quickly, making herself a little more comfortable as she passes her drink from hand to hand. ]

Making the dress? Oh, no, you mean - [ It's really hard to fight her smile. ] He just... Asked me over the devices. To come here, as his date.

[ don't fight it, hermione, the more you smile the more he smiles - he's going to just look like a human smiley face by the end of it.

okay asking her over the network isn't exactly smooth but then again they've been working like crazy around the clock to get this done, and asking a girl out for the first time is stressful as is. it worked, and that's all that matters! he's so proud! ]

By the looks of it, it's going well. [ and by 'it', he means her face, not the fact that she's free to talk to him, there's not a hint of sarcasm there. his first real date with kitty was the masquerade on the toxic moon, and they had plenty of time to talk to friends there too. it was a little different cuz they were just getting to know each other at the time but - eh, seems to be something about nerdbros and costume parties for the start of beautiful relationships. he hopes. ]

[ For a moment Hermione feels a little awkward, but she soon tilts her head up, breathing out quietly. ]

I... I'm not sure if he just meant tonight, or if he wanted - well, I suppose that doesn't matter. [ Her love life has been a little awkward and uncertain for quite some time - Gilgamesh proposing to her, her awkward not-relationship with Dorian, her almost-thing with Luke that never was... She can't imagine anyone actually wanting her. It feels... Strange, but she wants it.

She wants Cisco to want her. ] It's nice. I think it's been good.

[ it's his turn to feel a little awkward now - he doesn't really want to get himself in the middle of one of his best friend's relationship. if he'll somehow put his foot in his mouth and ruin this for cisco he'll never forgive himself. ]

Good's a good foundation, for whatever you guys end up wanting. [ if you ask him - she totally got her wish. ]

[ She just shakes her head, pushing her hair out of her face as she tilts her head up. ]

It's really nice. I can't remember the last time I had fun like this. Samhain wasn't quite as wild as this.

Ain't no party like a nerd party!

[ he grins a little proudly at that. ] What'd you do for Samhain?

You don't have to tell me twice.

[ She tilts her head up so she can look at Winn properly, her cheeks less red now. ]

Well, we'd start with making our offering to the God of Death and then we'd go to the masquerade that the Seelie and Unseelie organise together. It was the one time during the year where there was no need to hide friendships from other courts, and the one time of year there was a law against no fighting.

[ as much as he loves superheros doing cool stuff and battling cool villains, he's really not into violence.
