[ on the night of the 28th, the lecture hall will open its gates though it'll look remarkably different. Winn and Cisco would have decorated the corridors leading to it with Jack-o'-lanterns made from the pumpkins gathered at the little patch on the planet. The hall itself will be similarly decorated, along with other traditional scary Halloween decorations made from paper and fabric ( don't ruin the little paper spiders, they took hours to make! ). There will be music from various times of Earth-1 and Earth-3, so don't be surprised to find Lady Gaga playing alongside the Spice Girls! Feel free to make requests or otherwise, just show your skills on the dance floor!

There will be a bar run by Nami offering free sodas, though you'll have to pay for your own alcohol ( remember, don't drink and fly! ). Alongside the bar, characters will find a few tables offering candy from Earth-1 won by Cisco at the game room with a little sign reading TAKE ONE, LEAVE SOME FOR OTHERS and quite a lot of space chips and protein dips as well as various candy from all over the different planets ( cleverly hoarded by Winn! ) and a large selection of pumpkin pies and pumpkin treats. Characters will also find a line leading to Cisco's trusty ice cream machine, though it'll only offer peanut butter flavored sorbet.

At the corner of the hall there will be a karaoke machine with a little sign-up sheet. Characters could sign up solo or in groups and list the song they'd like to sing. Keep in mind though, the entire hall will be able to hear your rendition of Sexy and I Know it!

Adventure-seeking characters will be able to follow signs reading HAUNTED HOUSE and reach a large hall that was turned into a maze by large cardboard blocks painted black or covered by dark fabrics. Making it out of the maze won't be too hard and the maze itself won't be too frightening but will be mildly startling. It'll include some nifty engineered animatronics of witches, scarecrows, scary clowns and skeletons as well as holograms of ghosts! The song featured in the invitation will also be heard here, on repeat. It's a good break from the dancing and for some private conversations and moments.

Remember, costume are mandatory! you don't want to be caught by tonight's pumpkin kings, do you? ]

[Kitty is dressed as Captain America—old school style! After all, most materials she saw with him back home had that costume and it's easier to get the simple design down. She's even got the shield. Just not the round one.

She'll be spending a lot of time on the dance floor because she loves to dance whether it's with Winn or you! But she can't stay away from candy, ice cream, and liquid refreshments at the bar forever either.

Since she helped put together some of the things in the haunted house to help the boys out she'll need to check it out in it's entirety too. And if she occasionally needs to jump out of a wall to help out then that's just the kind of girl with the power of intangibility that she is! So, yes, literally moving through a solid wall. Not creepy at all, right?

[There's a very real amusement in her voice as she catches Kitty, her eyes almost sparkling.]

Don't tell Winn. He might be tempted to whip something up between dances. [While blushing profusely at her vampire bride costume.]

Winn talked me into it [Which required almost no effort.] He was doing a whole hero-themed thing. [And if she had someone she might have called a hero as a child it probably would have been Steve Rogers.]

[Sometimes, a girl just has to do this sort of thing. And as luck would have it, Natasha could hide most of her scars this way; those would have made her feel more exposed than a little cleavage or sheer fabric.]

I'll have to compliment him in person, when I see him.

[Natasha would have thought of it less as a hero theme, and more as a way to rib Steve. But she can see it as both.]

We can leave it at one Cap, though.

You should. He needs all the positive reinforcement. [Unless it encourages him to keep overworking himself. Hmm. Tricky.]

Unless Steve shows up. Though I guess he'd be dressed as something else. I suddenly can't imagine him in costume.

[At the same time, she can absolutely see him coming as himself. Steve, too, can be sassy that way.]

I wonder if they'd let him through the door. As I understand it, costumes were requisite.

You think Cisco and Winn are going to bully Captain America away? [She looks amused.] Then again he'd probably just politely apologize and go.

[ the night goes smoothly and then, there's a flash of blue-red and white, a very familiar combination that makes steve turn back and look after her. it takes him a moment to realize who she is and then he's chuckling, shaking his head.

well what do you know.

it's a piece of nostalgia, if nothing else and it's a little flattering, once he figures out who's under the uniform. ]

let me guess, Winn.

[ he'll get her a bottle of beer and lean on the bar next to her ]

You know, if you phase, people might start thinking I can do that too.

[He's lucky she didn't phase right then and there out of startled embarrassment at him seeing who she dressed up as for the hero theme Winn's group had going. She'll just blush instead.]

Nope, it's me, Kitty. [Teasing. She knows what he means.] Yeah, he made it.

[Steve Rogers just bought her a beer.

No. Just let that bracket settle in for a minute.

We should definitely start that rumor, don't you think? Maybe Vision would be jealous. [He would not. If anyone is jealous about other people walking through things it's Kitty. STOP STEALING HER POWERS! Especially when you already have several other powers!]

It's - very much like the original.

[ honestly, it's not an outfit he thought he'll see again. He retired it after he left his USO tour days but it's - both amusing and sweet of her to want that one, of all things. For all that his performing days were not his favorite of times, he does know what Cap meant to people. ]

[For an odd thing she thinks she gets it. She's also really grateful he seems to approve because it wasn't to mess with him and she wouldn't have been very good at playing that angle up. With others? Sure. Absolutely. If Beast had a better costume, she'd be teasing Hank all party long. But Steve is different. She reaches over and puts her hand over his, giving it a little squeeze.]

[ there is a tender moment, here. steve was more than a bit irked to find out how Cap was used in the post-war days. this is different; he may not know exactly who the others are dressed with but he's assuming they're all superheroes and it's a theme. as the only representative of the Avengers in this costume, he can appreciate the sentiment behind it ]

and hey, with the way Tony advertised that video here, I guess some people will recognize the costume.

[She doesn't leave her hand to linger long, but she does smile at him.] That's a good point. Definitely helped getting the details right. I did have to explain it to Nightingale, but she's not even from a version of Earth. She also thought half or more of Earth's population was from America. These places definitely play favorites.

Hey. [Smiling. It's been a minute since she's seen Nightingale.] It's Captain America. I know it looks like an American flag and a jumpsuit had a baby, but he is a big deal in some worlds.

You look great. [Which she says with no sarcasm because she loves ballet and it's more coverage than a lot of people in her profession wear. Jean wore clothes that only telekinesis could explain.] Specific reference or general dancer?

Not exactly. The Atroma just seem a lot more into us for some reason. Usually a lot from Japan too. At least there were in my last place early on.

Swan Lake. I wondered if it was that. [It was more her coming from a different world that made her want to check. And her mun not knowing ballet as well as her character.]

Well, it is Russian. [And her marriage to a Russian ended super depressing so why not? Also, because history of Russian literature and such.] It's beautiful to watch though. [She takes a step back and does her best to do a few moves which she executes as well as someone wearing a Captain America costume with boots can. Let's just say it's better than it has any right to be but not great.] It would work better in your outfit.

[She smiles back.] Just look for the super patriotic girl if there's trouble. You know, assuming I'm not causing the trouble.

I do! Sam's spelling me when I need to take a break. [The party is fun and it's money and it's got promotional value. She's all good.]

Patriotic, huh? I'm guessing there's a country whose colours are red, white, and blue where you're from?

[Superheroes sound weirder the more she hears about them. Mind you, there was Sogeking, so.]

America. It actually isn't doing so well in the time and place I come from, but you guess correctly.

This is an old Captain America costume knock off. Winn put it together for me.

So he's a superhero that protects America or works for it, huh?

[Sounds like a nice idea. Almost like the lighter, healthier version of what Crocodile was trying to set up for himself in Alabasta. You can't be a hero of the people if you're the one that's causing them the pain in the first place.]

[She thinks a lot of Steve and so far he hasn't let her down. If anything she's been impressed by him.]
