[ on the night of the 28th, the lecture hall will open its gates though it'll look remarkably different. Winn and Cisco would have decorated the corridors leading to it with Jack-o'-lanterns made from the pumpkins gathered at the little patch on the planet. The hall itself will be similarly decorated, along with other traditional scary Halloween decorations made from paper and fabric ( don't ruin the little paper spiders, they took hours to make! ). There will be music from various times of Earth-1 and Earth-3, so don't be surprised to find Lady Gaga playing alongside the Spice Girls! Feel free to make requests or otherwise, just show your skills on the dance floor!

There will be a bar run by Nami offering free sodas, though you'll have to pay for your own alcohol ( remember, don't drink and fly! ). Alongside the bar, characters will find a few tables offering candy from Earth-1 won by Cisco at the game room with a little sign reading TAKE ONE, LEAVE SOME FOR OTHERS and quite a lot of space chips and protein dips as well as various candy from all over the different planets ( cleverly hoarded by Winn! ) and a large selection of pumpkin pies and pumpkin treats. Characters will also find a line leading to Cisco's trusty ice cream machine, though it'll only offer peanut butter flavored sorbet.

At the corner of the hall there will be a karaoke machine with a little sign-up sheet. Characters could sign up solo or in groups and list the song they'd like to sing. Keep in mind though, the entire hall will be able to hear your rendition of Sexy and I Know it!

Adventure-seeking characters will be able to follow signs reading HAUNTED HOUSE and reach a large hall that was turned into a maze by large cardboard blocks painted black or covered by dark fabrics. Making it out of the maze won't be too hard and the maze itself won't be too frightening but will be mildly startling. It'll include some nifty engineered animatronics of witches, scarecrows, scary clowns and skeletons as well as holograms of ghosts! The song featured in the invitation will also be heard here, on repeat. It's a good break from the dancing and for some private conversations and moments.

Remember, costume are mandatory! you don't want to be caught by tonight's pumpkin kings, do you? ]

[Aaaand here's Shirley for a victim, stumbling back with a little scream when Hawke jumps out at her.]

What was that for?!

I'm a dragon!

[He throws his arms out, entirely thrilled with his first and clearly best sponsor gift.]

Dragons roar at people. It's just what they do.

[Here's Shirley, not looking impressed. Also still slightly in shock.]

Do all dragons jump out at people to scare them?

They more fly around and then land on you to try to bite you in half. I figured roaring would be a good compromise.

[C'mon Shirley, loosen up!]

[Give her a moment, Hawke.]

Well, thank you for not trying to eat me.

Well I wouldn't actually.

[He laughs a bit.]

Sorry, I just thought it would be fun to get in the spirit of things and do a bit of scaring. Did I go overboard?

[hearsthesea]

Not if you wanted to scare me. I didn't expect it, that's all.

[Which would be kind of the point, but shhhh she's a little embarrassed.]

[wolfehawke]

I won't do it again.

[He feels sort of bad, now.]

I used to do that to my siblings you know, when they were little. Jump around corners and roar. Eventually they got used to it though and I'd get a whack in the face with whatever stick Carver was using for a sword that day.

[hearsthesea]

[Feel better, Hawke. That little reminiscence gets a smile out of Shirley, helping her shake off more of the embarrassment.]

My sister and I never did things like that. But I can see some of my friends getting up to it.

[wolfehawke]

You have a sister too? How could you not want to scare her at least a little sometimes?

[It's like a primal urge he had as a boy, wanting to freak out Bethany and Carver like that. His mother called it 'asserting his dominance like a mabari' once, which had made his father laugh, but they all seemed fine overall with the little game. No real harm done. He'd just assumed it was what siblings did.]

We, um...we weren't like that. And besides, she was my older sister.

[Okay, not the best reason in the world. But really, Shirley would have never considered doing that to Stella back when they were together. Is that weird?]

[wolfehawke]

My little brother used to try and scare me. I mean, he never succeeded, but he still tried.

[There's a bit of a cooling off in the statement though. He's starting to get that Shirley's relationship with her sister was probably not at all like the one he had with his own siblings.]

I guess not all families are as mean to each other as mine was.

[He gives a smile, trying to show her it's ok.]

We just...had other things to focus on, I guess.

[Shirley's admittedly feeling a little weird now, but there's only so much you can do about your childhood.]

My sister did like to embarrass me, sometimes.
