[Video] + action for the Tourist
Who: Chloe and open
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: On the Tourist!
When: The 27th? Sure why not.
[Network]
[The feed clicks on to show Chloe's room on the Tourist, Chloe sitting cross legged on her bed, unlit cigarette between her lips. Once the feed is working she tucks the cigarette behind her ear and grins.]
I have spent for-fucking-ever over in that stupid game room they set up over there playing those games. They are so boring and I am so good at them now that I never want to play one again, but it was totally worth it because-
[She reaches off-screen for something, then frowns, clearly not finding it.]
Hey where did you...come back here you little shit!
[This last part is muffled a bit as she goes crawling out of sight, the camera feed bouncing. When she returns a few seconds later, there is a squirming ball of fur between her hands, and Chloe is smiling one of the more genuine smiles she's had in months.]
[She lifts her hands up and the tiny creature she's holding finally stops squirming...and settles in to reveal a blue kitten with streaks of purple fur, looking so unhappy as she hangs there from her hands. She's maybe ten weeks old.]
Tadaa!
[Chloe sets the cat down on her lap, scritching her, and the kitten seems comfortable enough to not go running away for a second, at least.]
Haven't named her yet, but I sure wasn't gonna leave her wherever the hell they were storing her with the other prizes. I mean, they pack us in like sardines already right? What if she was sitting in a cage in a back room or something.
[Chloe was clearly more of a softie than her attitude would imply.]
Anyway, just totally showin' off my fancy alien kitten. Feel free to be jealous. [Chloe snickers.] Tourist peeps, she keeps finding ways to sneak out of my room so if you see her running around don't scare her or anything alright? Just...pick her up and I'll come get her. She doesn't bite hard.
[Action for the tourist]
[And Chloe can indeed be found chasing a kitten around the ship on several occasions. Also there's a litter box in the bathroom now? And some food from the Marvisa's pet room in the kitchen. Yeah...the ship has a cat now. Oops.]

[His tone suggests he doesn't think that'll be a bad thing.]
Can it do anything special? Or is it like a normal cat?
no subject
[Cats are great. And Chloe grins at that.]
Watch this. [She whistles to get the kitten's attention, and then pulls a treat from her pocket and presses it against the wall, holding it there with a finger. The little kitten suddenly goes bounding right up the wall to get it. She grabs it, and just sort of hovers there for a second before she goes tumbling back to the ground.]
She's got some kind of like...selective gravity shit.

[He watches with the detached grimace of someone who thinks that's absolutely freakish and against all possible variants of nature, but is fighting against himself saying it out loud. It's probably not an attractive look.]
...I suppose it may come in handy if we should ever have our gravity malfunction again.

[She just raised an eyebrow at him though.]
You don't like cats?
no subject
[He pulls a face. ]
No, I do not.
[Anders is absolutely and totally to blame for it. ]
no subject
I don't think the feeling is mutual.
no subject
Fucking cats. He grimaces, lifting his bare foot away from the wretched beast.]
I have noticed.
no subject
Cats always know when people don't like them, man.
[Chloe is failing at trying to not laugh at him.]
no subject
Ugh. Yes, I have noticed. It's a rather irritating habit of theirs.
