[It was a bit of catharsis, to have something so simple to focus on like watering plants. It gave her focus and staved off the concern she felt with Qing and Nico both departed from the fleet. Try as she might to tell herself that duty came before all else, it didn't stop her from feeling anguish that people she cared for were gone. It was similar to the regret she felt over Viserys and over Jorah's banishment.

As for being watched, she has yet to notice it just yet. Not that she wasn't left completely unaware, of course. If there was a threat Drogon would have sensed it long before she even reacted. Strange that her dragon was intrigued enough not to react to Leto's presence. It didn't stop him from watching him, of course.]

Instead of answering her with any sound at all, he chooses to return to the lizard-shaped ball he favored under his warm lamp that Pinkie had made for him and her own animal companion. The only desert I have ever seen was called the Red Waste for a reason - nothing grew there. No one stayed there long if they wanted to live.

[Funny how that worked out. She had crossed the Red Waste into Quarth and that had nearly killed all of their horses and several of her men from Drogo's Khalesaar that hadn't abandoned her upon his death.]

What does this Spice of yours do? It doesn't sound like much of a food source.

It wouldn't be. Spice is the greatest commodity the universe has. It unlocks our powers, our gifts. Lets us see in the future. It even allows us to travel between worlds - explore our universe.
