[She shakes her head,] No. That happened a long time ago, well before the Fleet.

[And that's about the most she'll say on that.]

We were visiting an ice planet. I got caught up in an avalanche. Took a little bit of time to recover from that one.

Ow. Yeah, I can imagine. You're probably lucky to be alive in general.

I'm lucky to have the friends I do, they made sure I got back to my ship alright.

Good friends count for a lot, especially when you don't have a whole lot else.

[He left a whole lot of those back home, and that thought translates itself into a momentary feeling of crushing loneliness.]

It took me a while to learn that at home, but it was a worthwhile lesson. There's a lot of good people here.

Hard to know how to feel about that. I mean, I'm glad we can count on each other, but good people shouldn't have to be stuck here, away from their real homes.

A lot of bad things happen to good people. It's not worth trying to figure out why.
