It's probably for the best. I'd imagine that while Anders might eat the food I prepare, he wouldn't let me within ten feet of him with any kind of modern medicine.

I have to admit. What little of healing magic I've experienced so far it's pretty great. Still, it wouldn't be a bad idea for him to give you some space to work. After all, what if we wind up in a place where magic doesn't work for some reason?

Has that happened before? Not being able to use magic all of a sudden?

No, it hasn't happened yet. Although it's best to be prepared for anything around here if you ask me.

Right, "prepare for the worst while hoping for the best", eh? I always assume that's a Boy Scouts saying, but I really have no idea.

Exactly what I mean! Good advice for anyone. No harm in being prepared and not needing it! Lots of harm in not being prepared and needing it.

Speaking of which, any chance we can stop by a waystation and pick up more fresh ingredients? It will be in everyone's best interests, I promise!

I'm happy to swing the ship by a waystation. [Who knows when one will actually have fresh donuts. They almost never have good ones, but better than none.] I just can't guarantee whatever we find there will be what you could call "fresh". [Vash even holds up his hands to make the quotations.]

I would still argue that something is better than nothing!

Besides, if we run into some trouble and earn more shame-money, we can perhaps think about investing in some entertainment upgrades?

Yeah. That's true. Almost anything is better than whatever that goop stuff is.

[Vash hides a small snort behind his hand as he grins.] Shame-money, huh?

But yeah, I don't see why we can't ask for some entertainment upgrades once we have the funds for it.
