[Those communicators are such tricky things sometimes! Vash is visiting one of his favorite spots on the Iskaulit: the gardens. He can often be found here and today he's just feeling happy. No reason. It just happens sometimes.

Just like how communicators sometimes turn on. Like when they fall out of your pocket while you're sitting down. Enjoying the view. So the enjoy the view from the communicator as it looks up on a peaceful Vash who starts to sing softly. Not loud enough to bother anyone who may also be visiting the gardens, but loud enough for the communicator to pick up. It's a song that's also available from the media selection for anyone who's listened to it.

To Vash's credit. He's not a bad singer.]

Soooo. On the first celestial evening a pebble. From somewhere out of nowhere drops upon the dreaming world. Soooo. On the second celestial evening. All the children of their pebbles joined hands and composed a waltz.

And yeah, I mean, sometimes they're dangerous and people get hurt but I'd rather them for the time being instead of every day torture.

Agreed. Memory loss and regression to childhood seem but minor inconviences, really. What other things have you seen? [ So he can be as prepared as well as possible. ]

Hmm. [Vash taps his chin.] I've seen some people turn into animals before.

Animals! That must have be strange in the extreme. No one was hurt?

Not that I've heard of so far. I didn't know anyone it happened to personally, just heard about it.

[ Maglor sighs ]

Well, at least there is that. To change not just our minds but our bodies! I truly wonder what our captors true aim is. Surely entertainment cannot be all.

[Vash shrugs.] I really can't say at this point. I don't have a single idea.

[ Maglor sighs and shakes his head ]

Forgive me, I should not take out my frustration on a fellow sufferer. I just... it irks me to know so little of our captors.

[goldenglasses]

No! No! It's fine! No offense taken! I just felt bad I didn't have more to give you. Especially after being a part of this fleet for over two years now.

[bythewaves]

Two years? Well, I suppose if it were so easy we would all of us be free by now. I am sorry that you have been captive here so long, though.

Eh. [Vash lazily shrugs one shoulder.] It's not so bad. Back home wasn't great and I was a drifter anyway so I'm use to always being on the move.

[bythewaves]

I suppose that it at least comes with regular meals and a roof over ones head. [ Maglor agrees ]

Although I warrant I can cook better than the machines. [ He adds dryly ]

Are you a cook!? Do you want to join my ship?!

[Okay, they already have one cook, but he figures you can never have too many cooks.]

Nothing so elaborate! But I was the second eldest of seven, you see, and between my siblings and younger cousins, and two younglings I... fostered, I learnt to cook from necessity. But here, I am a... "personel support"? My cousin Fingon is the better chef, if you are needing aid.

Well, we have a chef on board now. He's no five-star chef, but seems rude to find someone to out shine him. I just really like food.

But yeah, I could see where having that many siblings you'd need to learn how to cook. That's a lot of siblings. [Just having one drives him insane.]

I am sure Fingon will not mind it if you ask if you can visit? [ Maglor offers ] He does like it when people eat his cooking.

It is, rather. But I would not trade them for the world. Most of the time.

Do you think he knows how to make donuts?

Quite possibly - I have never asked? But he does have quite the sweet tooth, so I think it not unlikely.

[goldenglasses]

Donuts are the most sweet of all treats so if he really does have that great of a sweet tooth he probably has!

Then you must ask him, and tell me if he can make them right.

[Then Vash suddenly sits up and looks down at his watch.] Actually! I need to get to work soon. I'm heading to the Space Bar if you want to walk there with me.

No, don't worry about keeping me. [Vash nimbly jumps to his feet.] I'm not about to be late or anything.

Even so, I feel like I have somehow been a bit rude! But where do you work, if I might ask?

I work in the kitchens at the Space Bar. If you've ordered food there in the past I may have cooked it.
