[Once upon a time the intention had been to brighten things up and bring people together for Winn's sake. Okay, it was also meant to cheer her up after Vision and Sascha leaving the fleet. Thanksgiving seemed like a good idea and she missed the date, but it's not like there are any Thanksgiving police around, right? She'd just keep it a small dinner of close friends, right? Except between her and Winn their close friends are already too many friends to call it small. And then why not invite their friends' friends? At a certain point she realized they're probably only leaving out a handful of people so might as well just have fleet-wide Thanksgiving. What is her life?]

Thanksgiving. Tonight. The Iskaulit. Potluck. So, that means bring food to share. And if you don't know what Thanksgiving means it doesn't really matter. You're still invited. (OOC: Respond here for video.)

[Several tables have been set up with mismatched chairs and occasionally crates for sitting. The food is a mishmash too with the various dishes people brought ranging from protein gels to snacks from the space stations to actual, creative and delicious dishes. She did manage to recruit a few people in advance with cooking augments or an interest in cooking to help her out and she supplied as much food as she could given their recent stops. At least there are a few pumpkin pies?

There's not much in the way of decorations happening, but there are some more comfortable spaces set up with games like chess and cards. She couldn't dig up an American football, but she did find a ball for tossing at least. They could make something work even if they had to go across to the gym for more room.

The main point is just to be around people and have a good time. Kitty left things pretty open so people are welcome to bring or make up their own activities.]

Thinking about all of you makes me feel really lucky, space reality show and all.

[ having lost someone who means so much to him makes him sentimental, and want to leave nothing unsaid, even if it'll get him mocked. ]

[perhaps surprisingly, compared to her typical instant comebacks, she pauses for a moment. for whatever reason, she seems honestly surprised.]

[ maybe it's thanksgiving, maybe it's all the disappearances. he's feeling extra sentimental himself. ]

Okay, enough of getting all sappy. How are you?

[ he laughs; he couldn't resist and it has the advantage of being true. ]

I'm alright, how are you?

Pretty good. Same old stuff, waiting for us to get to a new planet so everything won't be incredibly boring, all that.

I'm waiting to get to a planet that doesn't suck.

Silver lining, I'm pretty sure it can't be any more creepy than the last one?

Don't -- say that. By reality show laws, we are now bound to cut to planet Mega Extra Super creepy.

You think Atroma actually pays attention to most things we say?

Hank tells me he's never been glitched - next time I see him he's glitched. I'm not taking any chances.

[robitussin]

Bad timing? I never mentioned not being glitched before it happened to me.

I'm not saying it's the only way it happens, but it increases your odds.

We were in the same weird interdimensional melting pot before coming here, and it was basically populated by people who have the worst luck, so.

[she shrugs]

It could just be that the universe kind of hates Hank.
