[His cloak is missing, that's the first thing he notices. And it annoys him, that was a good cloak, very comfortable, very warm. The next thing he remember is that he had just killed the Guardian, which makes him roll onto the floor in a panic (knocking the communicator down and on) and try to find a mirror to double check his eyes.

Once he's reassured that there's no green glow lingering, he heaves a sigh of relief. And turns his focus to the communicator. Which... he knows how it works? And picks it up.]

I can't be here. I have things to do, people depending on me! [Kind of.] There's a war and-

I need to get back to my friends! They need me!

[action]

[He wanders because of course he does. Khadgar has found himself in a strange place, subject to the whims of whoever or whatever was responsible for his and everyone else being there. He wanted to know whatever he can, carefully keeping a couple spells at the edge of his thoughts in case someone tries to attack him.

Eventually he stops to take in the view of the stars, somehow looking much younger than he really is as he looks out. And suddenly feeling very small.]

It is all I know. [ Maglor smiles at him ] A part of me so intrinsic that to contemplate life without it is unthinkable.

My kinsfolk tell me the same, but I truly know no other way to be. But thank you for your concern.

Not... quite the way I do.

[ Maglor hums thoughtfully ] Although the Valar once told me I 'hear' very much like them. But my Arafinwean cousins have great skills in this area too. Finrod probably can hear quite a bit, if he cares to listen, and I am sure his sister Galadriel also.

The best description would be that they are the Powers of the World - that is to they are both those who built it, and also who sustain it.

Books you can find - although they seem to perfer this... "electronic" record keeping. The Iskaluit has some, though.

And of course - a bard lives to tell his people's tales, after all.

And tis no trouble, truly.

Agreed! Though I confess confusion with pen instead of quill, at first.

They are useful. Less messy. [ Maglor hums ] But there is something comforting about the old ways.

Perhaps! I had a tendency to misplace many of my smaller items - I do not think quill or pen would make a difference, in that regard.

Then I think you will do fine. [ Maglor smiles, and kindly does not say "especially now you've stopped panicking" ]

[ Hey he didn't say it, did he? ]

Well, I think so, in any case. As I said - folk here are generally quite accomodating. Do not fear to ask!
