I haven't heard of Meereen, but it doesn't sound like you traveled there on vacation.

Yes and no. I had planned on travelling there to meet with Daenerys Targaryan. I was first, alas, kidnapped and then thrown into slavery, but then I was freed by the luck of a plague.

[He shrugged.] The Gods like to lead us to our fates through the hardest paths.

I don't know if I believe in gods, but...that feels more than a little bit true.

[He moves to the table and settles across from Tyrion. His plate bears something that looks and smells at least vaguely like a mild curry, and he stabs a fork into a bit of it]
