Furiosa
[Although she is always open to a sparring session should anyone want it, and still makes her customary walk about the ship to look for things that are out of place, or connect with newcomers and see that they're settling in alright. Your basic Captain-y things.]
[Did you find her? Or did she find you? Or was it a mutual chance meeting in the kitchen over coffee?]
Re: Furiosa
Just the lady I was looking for.
Re: Furiosa
You're looking better. What've you got there?
[She nods to the arm, but of course it doesn't take a genius to figure out what it is.]
Re: Furiosa
[He gestured to the arm in front of him.] It is the device you required - I have finally come up with the first prototype. It's based on the work done on Mr. Barnes's own arm, so let me know if it is a bit ... too much.

[She's not sure how she feels about it, frowning slightly as she puts her hand on it and runs along its length. Citadel cultuer had been so mired in chasing down this aesthetic, it's hard to shake the instinctual appreciation and the learned abhorrence.]
[But in the end it didn't matter, did it? She's not in that world anymore and she's not haggard by its fury. Tyrion's made a beautiful thing and what matters - what truly matters - is whether or not it works.]
Lets put it on and give it a try.

Now, there is likely to be bugs. After all, I could not take apart your ...stump to see how it would work with your impulses and all.
no subject
Today that means exercise, as Furiosa finds him in the cargo hold working out with a pair of hand-weights. He's too focused to notice her come in.]
no subject
How are you finding it?
no subject
Still get used to things...m-um..[He stutters. Almost said ma'am again.]
Might be a little stir crazy, to be honest.
no subject
It definitely takes some getting used to, if you're more familiar with something less sedate. We had stretches of downtime in the Wastelands but there were plenty of raids and supply runs to break up the monotony.
If you're up to it, I've found a little fight now and again to be refreshing.
no subject
I wouldn't 'sedate' is the right word. Travelling between systems was a lot like this. Quiet. Not much to do except tinker with your gear and talk to the crew. I think the difference is that I knew where we were going and what we going to do when we got there. Here...I have no idea where Atroma is taking us. Uncertainty, you know? That's harder to deal with than monotony.
[He gives her a look, not quite skeptical but clearly weighing things in his mind]
Are you sure?

[At this point she doesn't know about Kaiden's biotics, but by what she can see visually alone she's not intimidated; she's tussled with Imperators, she figures she can hold her own against this guy.]
no subject
All right, then.
[Flexing his hands a little, Kaidan moved farther into the center of the hold, where they'd have the most room to maneuver. He wasn't sure what to expect, but it occurred to him that she had to be capable enough to offer in the first place. Not someone he'll allow himself to underestimate, in other words]

[She'll wait just long enough for him to put up a stance but then she's rushing in and throwing her fist.]

One thing that might be obvious within a few days is that Kaidan seems to eat. A lot. He's not in active combat anymore, so the demands on his system aren't as extreme, but even at rest his biotic metabolism needs constant re-energizing. So far he's kept his abilities quiet, unsure of how this new crew would react, but it won't last forever.
Mostly, that means he's often in the kitchen grabbing a snack of some kind or another, and he isn't at all shy about experimenting with the protein gel. Maybe he's whipping up something right now that at least smell like teriyaki chicken, or maybe he's sitting down eating a small serving of "banana pudding", or something else entirely.]

I think you'll find you want to put in a bit more of the red paste, if you are looking for a kick.
no subject
How much of a kick are we talking? On the scale of 'pleasant tickle' to 'someone just punched me in the solar plexus'?
no subject
More like ... 'I have been suddenly slapped in the mouth but I enjoyed it'.
no subject
That might depend on who did the slapping.
[That said, he'll reach over to the dispenser after a moment of deliberation and switches the mode to 'powder', letting a small amount fall into a small cup he had handy. Might as well make it interesting, he supposed.]
Are you a fan of spicy food?
no subject
[He smirked again, as he sipped his coffee. Breathing in deep as he started to feel his brain awaken.]
I have become fond of it, with my time overseas and here.
no subject
[He can't immediately place where Tyrion might be from, so he doesn't entirely make the assumption that it's something like India or South America]

no subject
I haven't heard of Meereen, but it doesn't sound like you traveled there on vacation.
no subject
[He shrugged.] The Gods like to lead us to our fates through the hardest paths.
no subject
[He moves to the table and settles across from Tyrion. His plate bears something that looks and smells at least vaguely like a mild curry, and he stabs a fork into a bit of it]
no subject
[Tyrion drank deeply from his coffee mug, sighing happily.]
