[Jennifer waves at the screen when she begins broadcasting, from the Wonderduck's medbay.]

Hey, everyone- for those who haven't met me, I'm Dr. Keller, medical officer on the Wonderduck. And even if we have spoken in the past, I've got a favor to ask- specifically, of anyone who has any sort of medical training or healing magic or the like. See, Dr. McCoy made the suggestion of having a list of people with such abilities handy in case of an emergency, and I agree wholeheartedly.

I've created a document- here on the network- and I'd appreciate it if anyone who is a healer of some sort could fill it out. It's just the basics- your name, what ship you're on, and what your abilities are. Even if you've just been taking first aid lessons from me, it's still valuable to know.

I know it can be hard to think about, but we never know what Atroma might be cooking up for us next. So it's important to have an idea of who can be directed where, if it ever comes to the point where we have a mass casualty event. A few minutes can make all the difference.

Hmmm... have you been over to the Iskaulit yet? There's a garden that may be of help- we grow all sorts of plants and whatnot over there.

Iskaulit? Uh, no. I just kind of got to... [Haaaang on] The Windrose?

We can just visit other ships then?

Yes- each ship is equippled with shuttles, and if you don't know how to fly them yourself, they have autopilot. Meaning they'll be able to take you where you need to go on their own. The Iskaulit is the bigger ship that follows along with the Fleet. It has a lot of room, so we utilize it for things like a workout room and storage and such, things that wouldn't necessarily fit on our individual ships.

If you should show me it, I could actually save everyone the trouble of a shuttle and teleport over. I just need to find something to write my runes with.

[That definitely makes Jennifer pause- and she's seen and heard a LOT in this fleet.] ... Wow, you can teleport? ... well, in that case, I'd be happy to show you around.

Yeah. I mean, it's kind of a basic spell among mages where I'm from.

I come from a world that doesn't have magic, so that's extraordinary to me. We have the means to teleport back home, but it's pretty difficult and requires advanced technology not everyone has access to.

Really? I can't imagine my life without magic. I'd be glad to show you some, if you'd like. I'm sure the Archmages would scold me, tell me magic isn't for show but they aren't here.

I'd like to see it, yes. What sorts of things can you do aside from teleporting?

I can use arcane magic, fire, ice. My eyes glow when I'm casting and I can make shields.

All very handy. How about we meet over on the Iskaulit? That way there's less of a chance of accidentally setting fire to something.

I certainly think so. And that sounds like a good idea, probably. [Even though he's quite proud of the kind of control he has with this magic.]

If you could show me an open space, I can teleport over. It's easier when I've seen a place or I can picture it.

Sure- give me a few moments to get over there. Or you could come over to my ship, the Wonderduck, where I am now. [To help, she turns her communicator so he can see the entire room.]

That will work, actually.

[He has to find something quick and write runes on the floor, letting her see what he does and then draws up the magical energy with him when he's finished.]

[And Jennifer watches him with interest, stepping back to give him room to teleport in once he's finished.]

[It's actually good she steps back, there's a bit of a burst as Khadgar appears nearby.]

[And Jennifer gave a yelp of surprised at that, realizing that she didn't quite know what to expect from this.]

Whoa! I've... I've never seen anything like that before.

[It does take him a moment to get his breath and straighten up.]

It's normal for mages on Azeroth. Incredibly useful.

I can only imagine. I live inside a vast city back home, so I'd love to be able to cover short distances like that. [She began moving toward the door, gesturing for him to follow.] I know how to pilot our shuttles, so we can go over to the Iskaulit right away.

[He won't mention how the apprentices would have been heavily scolded for using their magic to travel short distances.]

I'm sure that's a good skill to have. [He means it.]

It's not much, but it's helpful getting place to place. I don't like relying on the autopilot, because it's something connected to Atroma. It makes me feel like I have a bit more control over my life.

I can understand that. I'm glad they at least allow all of us that. I imagine they wouldn't get much entertainment from us if they tried to cut us off from every freedom.
