Hello everyone. I know this is rather sudden, but this Saturday I've rented out a space in the Hotel to hold a Holiday Party for the Fleet. It seems that a lot of worlds have celebrations around this time of year, and I thought it would be nice for us all to get together and share them, and just be able to enjoy each other's company in a space that feels less like a sardine can. Even if you don't celebrate anything, please come and grace us with your company.

The party will start at 7, but by all means come as you can. There will be a buffet and a bar - please get yourself a hotel room and not use the shuttles to go home if you do drink, by the way.

So come out and enjoy yourselves. I hope to see you there.

Saturday - The Party
<sub>[ The party is held in a large and spacious club-like space, but it is well lit and there is a mix of small tables and an open area for dancing set up. Music drifts over some speakers, with a pre-selected list already programmed in, and not so loud that one couldn't talk to your neighbor, but loud enough to sway to the beat if you desired. The space is decorated in tones of white and gold, a touch of festivity without really nodding towards any one particular celebration.

A bar is staffed by two of the hotel bar tenders and alcohol is plentifully stocked along with non-alcoholic choices. The buffet ran along one wall, piled with meats, vegetables, fruits, and sweets - everything to suit anyone who might come.

...No? {Wide eyes blink up at him guiltily.} I didn't know where you were going.

[ Maglor picks him up and sets him in his lap, tugging his harp over so that Fingon can play with it ]

You will worry him, when he finds you missing. [ Maglor admonishes ] This party is not really suitable for younglings.

{Finno is very careful with the harp! Just touching it lightly as he leans against Maglor. Dejectedly he looks down.} I don't want him to worry...

{And distracted! He looks up and around.} Why not?

[ Maglor smiles approvingly to see his caution ]

Then you had best call him - and you must do it, not I, and tell him so. [ Maglor instructs sternly and shakes his head at his distraction ]

Because there is alcohol here tonight, bitling, and note you there are no other young ones here, so you will not have company.

{The Elfling doesn't question or complain, just immediately fumbles for the communicator he's been taught how to use. Finno apologizes and tells their grandfather he's safe with Maglor and will be back -

[ Maglor nods approval, hugging Fingon fondly when he is done ]

{Oh! Finno beams up at him and snuggles in close.}

[ Fondly, Maglor smoothes a hand through his hair ]

Yes, of course. You remember how to hold it, yes? Although this is a little bigger than your normal practice ones. But it will not break, I promise.

[valiantfire]

{A happy hum and Fingon nods before frowning in concentration as he reaches for the harp.}

[ Maglor watches him, pleased and corrects his fingering quietly, happy to listen and only advise when needed ]
