Hello everyone. I know this is rather sudden, but this Saturday I've rented out a space in the Hotel to hold a Holiday Party for the Fleet. It seems that a lot of worlds have celebrations around this time of year, and I thought it would be nice for us all to get together and share them, and just be able to enjoy each other's company in a space that feels less like a sardine can. Even if you don't celebrate anything, please come and grace us with your company.

The party will start at 7, but by all means come as you can. There will be a buffet and a bar - please get yourself a hotel room and not use the shuttles to go home if you do drink, by the way.

So come out and enjoy yourselves. I hope to see you there.

Saturday - The Party
<sub>[ The party is held in a large and spacious club-like space, but it is well lit and there is a mix of small tables and an open area for dancing set up. Music drifts over some speakers, with a pre-selected list already programmed in, and not so loud that one couldn't talk to your neighbor, but loud enough to sway to the beat if you desired. The space is decorated in tones of white and gold, a touch of festivity without really nodding towards any one particular celebration.

A bar is staffed by two of the hotel bar tenders and alcohol is plentifully stocked along with non-alcoholic choices. The buffet ran along one wall, piled with meats, vegetables, fruits, and sweets - everything to suit anyone who might come.

They probably have colleges... She's from, like. Basically an RPG, but never use that phrase around her. For understandable reasons she hates it when people call her world a game.

Anyways, I'm self taught, so worst case scenario I can keep doing that.

Fun story, when we first met I actually told her that and she was pretty pissed. So, at least you can avoid the same rocky start if you meet her and all that.

You'd probably get along with her pretty well. Even if I'm pretty sure she wouldn't know what to do with your... general enthusiasm about everything?

What if I promise that there are plenty of things I am not enthusiastic about?

From what I know about you so far, that would be a little hard to believe.

I have discovered in my journeys that propensity to lying is not directly tied to facial structure. Shocking, I know.

Any thoughts on the correlation of veracity and facial hair?

The most honest person I've ever known was a dragon, so. Results inconclusive.

You're going to elaborate on that, right?

Seems pretty self explanatory to me. I knew a dragon. He was very honest. What part do you need additional details on?

Uh, pretty much everything? What kind of dragon? How big was he? Was he actually able to speak or was this a sort of telepathic thing?

Small for a dragon? He was smaller than the other dragon I knew, at least. I don't really know what you mean by what, I'm not a dragon expert.

No, he talked. He sounded like a kid, I think he was like five or something.

I'm pretty sure a five year-old dragon is the most adorable thing I've ever heard of. Is he here?!

Nah, he was in the last place I was, but he went home a while ago either way.

[arfvader]

Thwarted! Well, hopefully home is a good place to be for him.

[she makes a face for a moment, but nah. no reason to ruin this for him.]

Probably was, yeah. He was pretty cool, so I bet he came from a good place.

His name was Sunstone.

As fitting a name for a dragon as I've ever heard! Though I have sadly never had the pleasure of knowing one personally.

Oh, it wasn't his real name. I mean, uh, Sunstone, Opal, Lapis, Obsidian... A few of us went with a theme.

You had to choose new names in the last place you were stuck in?

[robitussin]

Well, we couldn't remember ours at first, so it would have been pretty hard to know what to call each other if we didn't.

Long story.

Yeah, I do, but I don't really use it anymore.
