Who: Tay Barnam and YOU!
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: Marsiva
When: Now
[ the camera focuses on the form of a tall (very tall), teenage girl who has not yet woken up. She's sprawled on her stomach, one arm dangling down as though she rolled over and didn't quite manage to stay on the cot.
It pans down her back, where the tops of two rather nasty-looking scars are peeking out above her tank top. It's a ~very dramatic reveal~ that the viewers back home will probably be deeply intrigued by.
After a moment, she shifts and groans. She pushes herself up, finally awake, and freezes halfway up.
This is not the motel room she was expecting to be in.
Her free hand moves immediately to the small of her back, finding nothing, and then her ankle, finding nothing but army surplus cargo pants and combat boots. ]
Where the fuck are my guns?

You think I look like a mariachi?
[His smile softens. ]
Anyway, I have no reason to lie to you, besides, I've been told I'm terrible at it.
no subject
...Okay, I take it back, nobody as lame as you could pull off any of this.
no subject
See? I told you. But I am going to find a way to get us out of here. All of us.
no subject
Yeah, okay Antonio, if you say so.
no subject
And I will, I can be pretty determined, when I want to be. I'm not planing on sticking around when I'm needed back home.
no subject
[ See, this is what happens when you raise your children to respect names, families, and specific types of angels, and not people in general. You get cock-sure teenage girls who think anyone who hasn't already proven themselves in some way is incompetent. ]
no subject
You'd be surprised. Buuuut if you don't want my help, I can leave you to it.
[S.M.I.L.E ]

[ beat ]
Wait, real quick, where's the food? I'm fucking starved.
no subject
I warn you, it doesn't taste good at all.
no subject
[ But that is a shame, as some good-ish food would've been at least something not awful that she could use to make her feel a little better. Sigh. ]
no subject
[No processed junk in 1920, man. ]
no subject
Barnams are good at many things. Cooking is generally not one of them. ]
You're lucky, then. You've never eaten my cousin Brigid's cooking.
no subject
From your tone, I'm guessing it's an experience.
no subject
[ ...well, maybe if you follow her she won't be a shit about it. ]
no subject
That bad, huh?
no subject
no subject
When you can't even reach the level of 'cereal', you know things are bad.
no subject
Right? She got her panties in a huge twist about it, too, like we were forcing her to stop cooking for shits and giggles and not for fear of our lives.
no subject
Couldn't see that it was for her own good, huh?
no subject
She's a Barnam. We're stubborn.
no subject
no subject
Stubborn family?
no subject
[He gives a shrug.] You don't face off against thousand pound angry bulls all the time without being recklessly stubborn.
It's probably why almost all of them are dead.]
no subject
[ she pauses ]
No offence, but you don't really seem like the bullfighting type.
no subject
[At least he's had some chance to come to terms with it all. But the distaste is still there, perhaps a little bitterness of a decade of training to be someone he isn't. He knows his father was doing what he thought was best, but it was still a long time of being made to live a lie. ]
I could never bring myself to kill the bull. It's wrong.
