[Yeah, Sorey's about in the same boat as Clay. He can't wipe the silly grin off his face, beaming between Allen, Clay and Mikleo in obvious joy. This is what makes being a Shepherd awesome; and one day everyone in his world will be able to see seraphim and then everybody can be happy to see their friends and auuuughhghghghsdl Sorey would put his head down on the table but Mikleo just shoved a menu at him. Fussy.]

Mikleo, you're making that face still. [But okay he'll order uh.........something. What are these things. Y'know what just give him the house special.]

[Oh right, ordering. He's still grinning and sounds amused as he orders as well]

Make that two house specials, and I'll also take the number 4, number 5, and number 8 combos. Oh! And some hot wings for appetizers! Very spicy, please!

[He nudges Clay a little]

What about you, Cowboy? I'm paying this time.

[Yeah that's right that entire order was all for him]

[And Clay doesn't even bat an eye at the amount Allen's ordering. After dating him for this long, he's just used to it by now. Instead, he leans over towards Allen's menu, using his free hand to take a better look at it.

... Nngh. All of them look pretty unhealthy, but he'll try to go with the one he won't regret the most.]

I'll take number 20 here. As for the side... The cup of meat and vegetable soup, please.

[Meanwhile, this is Mikleo's first time witnessing Allen's wild appetite, and he can't help staring. Thankfully he's not ordering, and the waitress can't see him to take his order anyway.]

You're seriously going to eat all of that yourself?

....what a wonderful idea, sorey leans across mikleo while still trying to hang onto clay to ask,] Actually can I also get the number four combo too? Along with the house special? Thanks so much, sorry for the trouble!

Ah! Yes, thank you!

[The waitress is sure sideying a little with all the orders and Clay holding the hands of one guy while the other is clearly affectionate, but she's dealt with weirder so she doesn't say anything and takes down the orders and heads off.

And to Mikleo, Allen just offers a smile and nod]

Mm, don't worry! There'll still be room for dessert.

[Clay's pulled along with Sorey a little bit, but eh, it's fine. It just means he's against Allen's side, which he'd never complain about.

He grins at Mikleo after Allen answers him,]

Yeah. Allen here's practically got a black hole for a stomach. [He gives Allen a little nudge with his free elbow]

[Mikleo quirks a brow, but okay, Allen's established himself as a strange one. Of course he'd have surreal stomach capacity.]

Just don't make yourself sick. That goes for you too, Sorey.

[It's more of an affectionate scolding than anything else, though. He's honestly glad to see Sorey getting himself a proper meal while they can.]

It's because of your Innocence, right? Because it's inside your body and not an equipment type? [kanda's been yapping. also he eavesdropped a little in the clinic, sorey-not-sorry]

[He was about to answer Mikleo, but then Sorey pips in with the- wow that's actually the correct answer! Sure he could question where he heard it since Allen doesn't remember EVERYTHING he's told these two, but honestly Allen's just so surprised and happy to hear someone know it without having him explain, that he just breaks out into a big smile and nods at Sorey]

Yeah! That's exactly it! Nicely done, Sorey!

So this is what you do on a date, then? Dinner?

[There's a pause as Clay watches Mikleo purify the water; he's seen it several times now, but not he himself doing it, so it's incredibly fascinating to see like this. But at that question, Clay snaps out of it, looking up at Mikleo (and Sorey, because this pretty much pertains to both) as he answers.]

Sometimes! It can be dinner, or going to watch a movie, or going stargazing, or a combination! [He moves his free hand under the table to find Allen's, slipping his fingers into the palm to give it a light squeeze] Going on a date is mostly just about being with the person and doing something you both enjoy doing. It's about having fun together!

[Sorey grins and leans back, throwing his arm across the booth behind Mikleo's shoulders.] If that's the case, then Mikleo and I have been going on dates since we were five and six.

Ah...

[He glances over at Clay, but you know what? HES GOING IN. WISH HIM LUCK BABE]

Well possibly! But it depends, are you two friends or dating?

[Because seriously no one knows.]

[Mikleo tilts his head inquisitively at Allen, then glances sidelong at Sorey.]

Wouldn't it count as both? I can't really tell the difference.

[Clay glances at Allen, then decides to just. Go for it. MIGHT AS WELL.]

Not exactly. Dating is when you're with a person you love - romantically. Or if you're working out whether you want to be with the person in that sense or not, and in that case, it's about discovering who that person is and whether you're compatible the more dates you go on. If you're just friends, it's more, uh... hanging out?

I really don't think we need to discover more about each other, honestly. I mean, [Sorey jerks his thumb at Mikleo,] we've been together since we were born. [He turns to Mikleo again.] And you live in my soul, although that's a relatively recent development.

...Ha, right. That is very close!

[Living in your soul, wow. Usually when people said lines like that, it's purely metaphorical. But with Seraphim, who knows.]

But usually the dates about getting to know you are just the beginning dates- for people who haven't spent their whole lives together. Once you're past that, dates are different from hanging out because...

[He trails off, trying to think of how to put it]

Well, think of it this way. Sokka is one of my best friends, right? We work together, we spend a lot of time together - we're very close! In fact we just went shopping earlier today.

But Sokka and I aren't dating. I'm dating Clay, and he has a girlfriend back in his world. So we'd never...kiss, or sleep in the same bed, or hold hands unless we needed to, or cuddle while watching a movie, or ... [Um, he's running out of PG things he does with Clay] - w-well, you get the idea. Those are types of things that I do with Clay.

And dates are a way that we make sure that we do have special quality time together, so we don't get too caught up in our own busy schedules and take the relationship for granted. [AWKWARD...SHRUG.]

[Mikleo's brows furrow for a moment, doing a quick mental countdown-

Clay's jaw sure did drop there. He looks at Mikleo, then Sorey, then Allen, not really sure how to react here. Mikleo's just so... so nonchalant about it! Compared to he and Allen when they decided to start getting serious about their dating... this is like the opposite end of the spectrum.

He turns back to the two of them then, a confused, yet happy grin on his face.]
