Welcome to my one-year anniversary. [Pause as she realizes maybe she should clarify that. Not a relationship thing.] Of being with the Fleet. Feels like it should come with a badge of some kind. Who hands those out? We're in a special club now, right? Secret handshake? Extra meal portions?

Anyway, I figured it was maybe time to try something different. So... Raise your hand if you'd be interested in attending a dance class if I taught one. And by raise your hand I mean call me back. I don't have surveillance set up in all the rooms yet. [She's kidding. She's probably kidding.] If anyone is in I'll set up a room for it on the Iskaulit. [Or maybe find the secret studio the previous Natasha had.]

[Kitty is poking around some of the empty spaces on the Iskaulit, but she might pop into some of the more established establishments too while she's there.]

Not that kind of visit. If Raven's anything at all like my mother, then she's done her own threatening long ago. [And Kitty admitting that Hank McCoy is a close friend is strange still--and invokes a tiny flare of jealousy that Kurt quickly buries because he's thirty-something, not fourteen.]

..Strange to think of any version of my mother marrying for love.

[Good. Kitty has little bits of jealousy whenever it feels like Winn has closer friends than her and no amount of knowing it's ridiculous ever makes her feel less like a child about it.]

Well, you've only known..........four? Actually, I take it back that's a good sampling.

My mother was always a.. traditionalist about the institution. Marriage is for land, money, or power. Children and love can be had from lovers.

I guess this one fell in love with someone who wanted to marry her. ...Winn and I have talked about it.

[Just that, with no expression other than curiosity on his face.]

We're not in any rush and I think if possible we'd want to wait until something is more stable about all of this. Like we actually do get to National City or disappearances stop or something. But I think it's something we both want.

[Kurt nods in approval; it's a sensible approach. Still, he has to add:]

Be certain he can protect himself without you before you marry him. Against anything, Kitty.

I don't ever want you to come home to what I did.

[She would reach through this video and hug you if she could.]

Even we can't protect ourselves from anything. [Granted, in both their cases their deaths were arguably wilful.] He has been training though. And I am a lot lower on enemies.

No but we can damn well try. [He's going to run himself into the ground one day like that.] But you're right that everyone loves you. I'm proud, you're charming everyone.

[The fact that he manages to make her smile after referencing Linda's death is short of a miracle.] I am sure I did not say everyone loves me.

There is one person around I'm concerned about though. I should have told you about her awhile ago. Gemini. Have you met her? She's a shapeshifter and from what I've seen her base form might be somewhat elastic?

[The smile falls from Kurt's face in an instant.]

Last time I saw her hair it was made of snakes, but yes, I think so.

If she's the same person, she attacked me while I was.. young, and looking for the other X-Men.

Attacked you? [She is going to come through this screen!] Why didn't you tell me?

[Kurt actually leans back a little.]

Then, or after?

Any time! [She knows why tiny him didn't say anything.] She just seemed vaguely mean spirited around me! [And here she was feeling bad about not mentioning it sooner.]

I was trespassing on her ship, Kitty. Not to mention right after that Vision was taken, and in light of that it seemed less important.

I do recall her taking great joy in having the upper hand.
