Welcome to my one-year anniversary. [Pause as she realizes maybe she should clarify that. Not a relationship thing.] Of being with the Fleet. Feels like it should come with a badge of some kind. Who hands those out? We're in a special club now, right? Secret handshake? Extra meal portions?

Anyway, I figured it was maybe time to try something different. So... Raise your hand if you'd be interested in attending a dance class if I taught one. And by raise your hand I mean call me back. I don't have surveillance set up in all the rooms yet. [She's kidding. She's probably kidding.] If anyone is in I'll set up a room for it on the Iskaulit. [Or maybe find the secret studio the previous Natasha had.]

[Kitty is poking around some of the empty spaces on the Iskaulit, but she might pop into some of the more established establishments too while she's there.]

Mmm...What was your favorite part of Thedas? [Hard to know where to start, but "what was it like" is probably too broad. She never knows what to say to that.]

Kirkwall.

[That, at least, is easy. Not really a place most Thedosians would pick as a favourite, but he has good reason. ]

It's...quite frankly a filthy crime-ridden city, but it's the first place that ever really felt like home to me.

That's what's most important. The people, I'm guessing? [At least that's how it works for her. Not the place. The people. Even if the place ends up taking some of the credit years later.]

[A small smile tugs at the corners of his lips. ]

Yes. I made a lot of good friends there. Some of them are family to me.

Family is a big one. Mm...none back home? [Kind of a big question to ask. Maybe too big?]

I don't remember most of my family. The only one I know is still alive is my sister and she-

[Betrayed him, tried to get him caught back into slavery, felt justified in doing so.]

She and I do not speak.

I see. [She doesn't know the things he holds back, but she has a sense something is being held back.]

Well, that's why it's so great you can build your own family in places like this.

[Ah, this, this is a subject he is much more comfortable with. He smiles a little. ]

Yes. I am very fond of the crew of the Tourist. They have become a family to me, almost as much as those in Kirkwall have.

You are all pretty great. That's why I had to adopt you as a second crew.

And here's me thinking Winn was the one that charmed you into our ranks.

[He's absolutely teasing her. ]

Mr. Schott might have played a small role. [Huge.] I was friends with Chloe first though. We arrived together on the Marsiva. And then Kirk and Kara I think. Then Winn showed up.

Ah, I see. So Winn made it a better location rather than being the ultimate cause of you coming here.

I knew Margaery before him too. She was on the Windrose when I got there. You were a really late adopter of Kitty friendship.

Winn is definitely the reason for the sleepovers though.

I feel grateful for receiving it all the same.

[He chuckles. ]

I imagine he would be rather put out if that were not the case.

[That line about being grateful gets an almost shy smile as some of her teasing confidence wanes.]

Probably. Luckily, we'll never have to find out. [She's rather attached even if she jokes.]

And now I should probably scout for a dance studio. I'll make sure to get one I think you'll like for when I convince you to dance after all.

[He means it, too. Not one to falsify his feelings, is Fenris. Lucky her. ]

You keep reaching for that star, Kitty. Perhaps one day you will catch it.

Good thing I can walk on air. [Let's not talk about the lack of atmosphere as you get even closer to stars. The metaphor is not ready!]
