[The fleet, more or less patched up after their battle, has once again left civilization behind for empty space. Maybe it's a good time to distract yourself and get away from the endless repairs and nothingness, though there might still be cleaning up that needs to be done here too.

[ and now he's annoyed by that, and by the fact that his hand hurts. right at this second he doesn't care that maybe for mon-el it really was an honest mistake. some things are just not cool. ]

No. [ sulkily, it's fine, it'll pass. ] Why do you have to be so hard. [ he's not doing it on purpose, winn. ]

Winn, I really didn't know that one was an insult and one was a name. I wouldn't insult any friend of yours especially not someone you care for deeply.

[ muttered under his breath. but he shakes his head. ]

[ he smiles, and to prove he's put it behind him, claps his shoulder - very lightly this time, because his hand. ]

[ he catches himself, that smitten smile already in his eyes and tugging at his lips ] sorry, you don't wanna hear it. [ nobody does. he walks into the bar. ] Grab me a beer and get yourself a glass, I got a surprise.

[ he goes to find a seat. ]

Oh. That makes sense. [He smiles when Winn starts looking all happy. He's about to assure him that Winn's welcome to talk about anything when he is distracted by the thought of getting the drinks.] I hope the surprise isn't that I'm just going to watch you drink. [He jokes as he turns to get what Winn asked for.]

Where's the fun in that?

[ when he'll come back, winn's gonna grab that glass and pour in a shot from a flask he had in his jacket pocket. pushing the glass back towards mon-el, he looks a little excited. ]

[He looks at the drink suspiciously and curiously.] What did you do?

[Look at this trusting boy throwing back whatever is in this glass. For a second nothing and then his eyes open wider.] Woah.
