Sometimes. But other times they can have too many emotions to deal with at once. They're very complicated little things. Often quite contradictory of themselves.

[Mon-El isn't really different from that. He's just surprised anyone would want to wallow in sadness. Daxam was definitely built as a party world, so sometimes the nuance of non-fun things was diminished or otherwise put down.]

I can relate to the complicated.

Me too, in all honesty.

[He LIKED the complicated, and he LOVED humanity. Fiercely. Sure, he bitched about them constantly but they were perfect in their imperfection as far as the demon was concerned. ]

You're never bored around them, anyway.

You're really never bored? [Not something he can say for himself. Which isn't anyone else's fault. He's just a guy orphaned from his planet and culture trying to make it in all these places he keeps crashing.]

On very rare occasions, I can be, but I tend to go sleep when that happens.

Huh. Got to make waking up on a random planet even more confusing, then. Were you even conscious when you left your own?

I was. It was just very rushed and hectic.

I can imagine. Landing on a strange new planet and all.

Yeah. The sky was falling and not in the metaphorical sense.

Never fun to deal with, that.

You've dealt with that before?

Hm. Went through an aborted apocalypse once.

How did it get stopped?

The kid who was supposed to press the big old destruct button had second thoughts.

Smart kid. Though pressing a destruct button probably should have never been an option.

It should not, but he was created exactly for that. Luckily, he grew up with humans and so got that wonderful human mentality about not wanting humanity being destroyed. We're all glad for that one.

I don't understand why anyone would want that. [He's seen bad things before. He's never liked it but apart from his culture of distractions he finds himself all the more aware of them and conflicted about things.]

Heaven and Hell did. Because of stupid reasons. Don't see much point, myself. Why create a world just to tear it down like a kid smashing a Lego house just because he's bored of it now.

I'm glad things are still intact for you back home. Or back where you spend time.
