[ this is one of the only unfamiliar faces the blameless has to offer winn - and it seems like a pretty happy face, so he's excited to change that. smiling, he offers a cheerful wave in return. ]

Looks like I got great timing, I'll add it to my resume! I'm Winn Schott, I'm friends with, well, Hank, Raven, Cisco, and Kate. [ so basically your entire ship. ]

[sweeps an arm in front of himself and takes a dramatic bow]

[he stands up, snaps his fingers, and pulls a yellow rose out of thin air. magic!]

Cool! Cool - [ leaning in. it's a pretty impressive trick, but the word magician isn't associated with real magic for him (real magic, still so weird and awesome that it's a thing!) ] are we talking like, real magic, or slight of hand? [ either way he's impressed that was well performed! ]

[a scoff, and he twirls the flower around his fingers]

Sleight-of-hand is real magic, c'mon! It might be better to differentiate by calling one "sorcery" and the other "illusions."

[defensive, is he? but even that isn't enough to shake his good mood]

Sorry, no offence meant - it's really good slight of hand. Seriously.

[ he's very impressed and already trying to figure out where the flower came from because that's who he is. ]

[waves his hand, as if to say "no hard feelings." and before Winn can really figure out where the flower appeared from, Kaito covers it with both hands and makes it vanish into thin air again]

Why, thank you. But of course it is-- I learned from the best in the world, which naturally makes me the best.

[ a couple claps at that trick ]

Does that mean you've exceeded your master, or are you giving yourself a tie?

[flicks his wrist again, and this time he produces a couple of juggling balls from thin air! which he immediately tosses up and catches as they fall down in a circular pattern]

I'll give us a tie. My old man. . . he'd be pretty hard to beat.

[his joy becomes a little softer, but even thinking about his deceased father isn't enough to kill his spirits entirely]

[ oh, hit him right in the feels why don't you. he has so many daddy issues. ]

I'm sorry. [ softly, but since he's staying cheerful, he goes with the potential for a change of subject here. he doesn't like to dwell on the sad, either, when it comes to his own personal life. ]

That sounds like fun - I just used to do card tricks as a kid.
