Belated Christmas presents are better than no presents, right?

A) Closed to Wanda's Christmas List


[The past two months have been kind of crazy for everyone, and that certainly included Wanda. Spending the month of December with no memories of her previous time in the Fleet, regaining them (well, almost all of them) so suddenly and somewhat painfully, followed by all the chaos that came with the surprise attack on the Fleet, and then, of course, there was the necessary repair process after that, it's all been a whirlwind of distractions and activity for Wanda. Finally now, things were starting to settle back down, and that meant Wanda could turn her attention back to a project she's been discreetly working on since her memories returned.]

[She'd felt guilty that her "condition" had kept her from celebrating the Christmas holidays with her friends and shipmates. Now, it was over a full month passed, but she still really wanted to try and do something special. She'd been gathering some presents over the past year during the Fleet's travels, but she had not quiet finished her list. Thankfully, with time now available to her, she's seen to finishing her list -- which she may have added some people to post-December. But, in her eyes, they still deserved presents.]

[Anyways, last night, Wanda set about delivering her gifts to everyone. Each person will find the gift waiting outside their doors or in an easily spotted place in a communal area. The gifts have tags specifying who each present is for, and some may also have "special instructions," but none have any note as to WHO the gifts are from. Perhaps Wanda's feeling a little too embarrassed and guilty about only just now finally delivering her Christmas gifts to attach her name to them. However, each present will feature wrapping or packaging that belies a certain affinity for the color red. Naturally, some (or all) gift recipients might be able to put two and two together. If they'd then like, they may contact Wanda via communicator or in person. Just expect a very pink-face, blushing Wanda to greet you.]


B) Fleetwide Broadcast

[When Wanda turns on the broadcast, she looks noticeably... well, tired. It seems she did not get a lot of sleep last night for some reason. Hmmm. Odd. She tries to smile, friendly and cheerfully, though her eyes flutter a few times while she speaks. Girl's likely gonna take a long nap after this.]

I was, um, baking... a lot recently... and I, um... I made extra! So, if anyone would like some cookies or brownies, they are... They are on the Starstruck! ... in the kitchen... room... area...

[She covers her mouth with her hand, attempting (poorly) to cover a soft yawn.]

Help yourselves! I... um, everyone is welcome! First come, first serve though... sorry... I can make some more... later...

[The video feed cuts there, as Wanda falls back onto her bed for some much needed rest. Anybody who received a mysterious, belated Christmas gift this morning just got a big clue as to who it was that delivered them.]

[ the gift was perfectly timed, if you ask him. he had plenty of happiness going around christmas between the holiday and his birthday. now, though, it seems like the stream of bad news has returned, and the delicious gift couldn't be a more welcomed reprieve if it tried.

[Wanda smiles bleary-eyed at Winn's face on her screen. That didn't take long at all for someone to figure out who their gift was from. She's still too tired to quite realize how obvious she had made it.]

That was not easy to make by the way... the chocolate popcorn... so you better like it!

[She's too tired to sound properly, mockingly sarcastic. Instead, it just comes off as hopefully kind of endearing with the overly-exaggerated pouty look on her tired face.]

Next time, make sure you invite Kitty... wouldn't want her to get cranky about being left out of... [Another yawn.] movie nights...

Don't worry, I got this! It'll be the best loved popcorn in the history of popcorn. Centuries from now, its great great great great great great great great great pop-grand-corns will still be hearing stories about the most loved popcorn there ever was.

[ he even says it all with a straight face. and a nod at the end. ]

[Natasha wasn't expecting any gifts, and definitely not from Wanda. If not for the broadcast, Natasha very probably wouldn't have entertained the idea it was Wanda at all.

Since she woke without memories, Natasha has been giving the girl space. Paying attention, certainly, but letting other people handle the hands on.

When she sees Wanda's current tired, baking condition, though, she reassesses her place on the list of suspects.]

[After Wanda's gotten some rest, she's feeling more on point, but also more embarrassed at how completely obvious she'd been about her "secret" gift giving. When she responds to Jennifer's message, her cheeks are a notable shade of pink.]

O- oh, I didn't mean for the two glasses to imply that I wanted you to share with ME. I just thought, if you had someone you'd like to share with, it- it would just be convenient if you had two glasses ready! And- and, well, I mean, the guy was only selling them as pairs, too. So- so I kind of had to get both of them, and...

[Wanda realizes she's running her mouth at a mile a minute, so she shuts up as her face turns even redder.]

[Wanda smiles as she receives Al's message. At this point, it was clear that her mystery, belated Christmas gifts hadn't been so mysterious at all. Still, it was a little embarrassing to her how obvious she had made herself.]

[Wanda smiles broadly at the Professor. At this point, she's come to terms with the fact that she's outright failed in her goal of trying to remain anonymous. In Charles' case, she's even a little more okay with it, because she really was hoping he'd like the gift and that meant she could repair any of the damage to their relationship that her earlier memory glitch had caused.]

I am glad to hear it. Erik promised he'd teach me how to play, but you might want to be on hand just in case. I may be a bit of a slow learner with Chess.

[She blinks a moment before her cheeks turn a shade of pink.]

Not- not that I picked that gift out, because I intended to use it, too! I- I just thought you two might like one, because Erik mentioned you both played, and- and so I...

[Her face turns redder as her voice trails off.]

[Wanda stares at the text message for a moment. She's not sure exactly who this is, but she had sent out an open invitation to the Fleet for people to help themselves to sweets if they liked. So, she supposes a random thanks isn't all that unusual.]

I'm sorry, but who is this? I appreciate the thanks. I just do not believe we've met yet?

[She could be wrong. Her memory glitch had seemingly ceased a month ago, so it didn't seem out of the question that some bits might still be missing. She hopes she hasn't just caused offense.]

[ it's a good thing steve still goes to his old room, maintaining it for the maps he draws and the books he reads. His nights may be spent with Peggy but some of his things are still here.

Today, however, there's something waiting outside the door. he picks up the box and walks inside, opening it as he goes.

he takes out the record player and examines it, smiling when the first song starts to play. the note gives her in and he gets up, walks up to her door and knocks. ]

[There's a sound from the other side of the door that sounds like a muffled snort, followed by a grumble of some kind, and then a begrudged "One sec." After a moment, a groggy looking, bed-headed Wanda opens the door.]

Yeah?

[Seeing only a man's chest, her gaze shifts upwards. She blinks for a moment at Steve's face before everything registers. In a sudden flurry of energy, Wanda attempts to fix her hair and clothes all while her face turns a bright red. Well, that was a better wake-up jolt than a strong cup of coffee.]

Oh! Steve! Um, something the matter?

[Surprisingly, people don't often get gifts for Felix, so finding his comes as a complete shock to the wizard. Signature or not, the gift and the note are more than a dead giveaway to their sender. He sets the smaller books aside, along with the cookies, to enjoy later before he adds the book to the library. The scrapbook is spread out on the bed as he pages through it in something akin to awe and a feeling of fondness touched by the almost ever-present guilt at leaving her and the Starstruck behind.

When he turns on the communicator it's the first thing on the screen, page open to the blank section, before panning somewhat awkwardly up to his face.]

Thank you for this, Wanda. I shall try to make the best use of this.

[Wanda smiles warmly as she recognizes the page in her scrapbook present to Felix. As the camera pans up to his face, the smile grows slightly. She's happy to see him.]

You are very welcome, Felix.

And the rule is, you have to fill ten or twelve pages. Then you can pass it on to the next person. Don't forget. And no slouching on filling those pages either.

[Her smile turning a little wry as she speaks, and she adds a wink at the end to punctuate.]

[ It doesn't take much thought as to who provided the gifts- considering the bracelet inside matches both Steve and Peggy's own? Still, it's very thoughtful, and doesn't have any intention of taking it off- much the same with the pendant Erik had made him. ]

Go to sleep, you deserve it. [ He pauses briefly, raising his wrist to show her handiwork. It fits perfectly. ]

[As sleepy as she is, Wanda still manages a broad smile seeing the bracelet she made for him on Bucky's wrist. She's even happier now knowing that she had made it the right size. Men's wrists were harder for her to measure accurately.]

I maybe didn't have to... but I definitely wanted to...

Hope the, uh... the matching colors does not bother any of you. I just thought it'd, uh... it would be cute.

[She totters a little. Clearly fatigued, but not quite wanting to be rude and bail on their conversation.]
