[Sokka keeps tabs on his crew a lot, but there's a few scant people outside of the Blue Fish he absolutely tried to check up on as and when he can. After the...weird hyperactivity effects he'd experienced wore off, he made to check up on exactly one of those people. And his search came up empty.

So, he turns on the video, stepping out of one of the shuttles and heading through the hallways of the Blue Fish, heading to the bridge]

I'm not sure who she knew all that much, so I'm making this public in case anyone's missed it and gets worried about her.

[He flops down into his captain's chair with a heavy sigh. This sucks.]

Korra's gone. Home, hopefully. Which is probably a better thing for her. Important Avatar business and all that.

[And then there was one. Again.]

No okay, that's a much better use of it. It didn't mess up the timelines at all?

Well, see, that's the problem, isn't it? What if the correct timeline was the one where I changed it? And the wrong one would be where I didn't?

That's...actually kind of genius. Because, yeah, sure! Maybe the event triggering the correct timeline was you going in there and changing it.

Which is why time travel is such a dangerous thing, right? There's always the chance you think you're changing the right thing but, instead, you're doing the wrong thing and everything has ended up... Wrong. That's why the Ministry keeps the devices to themselves.

Even a tyrant could be saving their people from their perspective. Everyone has their own view point of what they're doing and all that.

[He's learned THAT much from the rebuilding for the Fire Nation now it's stuck in peace. ]

At least it's not out there for anyone to use. Though, man, I hope this 'ministry' don't use it =, either.

I'm sure someone would make the argument that it's what the universe wants.

I'm not sure I can give the universe that kind of the benefit of the doubt.

Me either, in all honesty. The universe hasn't exactly been my friend.

It's better not to try and spend too much time thinking about it if you ask me. You'll never get any answers or solutions.

Yep. And then you'll have wasted all your time wondering about it instead of living in it.

Exactly. There are thousands of other things far more interesting and useful.

There ARE! All you got to do is step into a library and bam, everything you need at your fingertips.

[ Sokka just said the magic words - her face lights up. ]

Exactly! Why wouldn't you make use of resources when you can get them? It's perfectly logical.

Exactly!!!! You never know what you'll find in a book. Something that no one else would have thought of, or some long-forgotten secret that can actually help you out. The possibilities are limitless.

And if you need to know something you'll definitely find the answer in a book eventually. There's always something out there waiting to be found.

Yes! People just underestimate reading so much. Sure, there's a lot you can learn from going out there and experiencing it first hand, but having knowledge before you do that is even better. And where do you get that? Books.

And it never hurts to be prepared. Why go out into something that could be life threatening when you can read up on it and get ready before you even go?

Exactly, it just makes sense. Wow. where have you been all my life? I could have used someone with common sense like you back home.

I was too busy trying to teach my friends common sense.
