Well, yeah, but to know in-depth information about a neighboring planet's governing system? I probably could've used a little more education on the topic. The resources I have now are useful, but only to a point.

Part of the reason. If someone is claiming to know you, and you've spent your whole life being told that people like him can't be trusted, you'd be a little frosty too.
