Who: Solas and everyone!
Broadcast: Fleet-wide
Action: On board the Marsiva
When: 11th-14th!
[ It's a good thing the network is already on when Solas is awake, mostly because the first thing he does is promptly fall out of the bed. There's a long moment of silence before there comes a long suffering sigh and a spot of movement, the blackness moving to reveal a voice, quiet and measured as he looks around. ]
... Ah.
[ He frowns, his eyes narrowing a little before he continues, as if he's taking in everything before he even considers making a movement. ]
Well, this is certainly different.
( action )
[ Until he's assigned, Solas can be found in the room he woke up in, loathe to go too far. He's very quiet and keeps to himself, especially if people mention anyone that might be from 'his world'; for the most part he seems particularly solitary. He does ask, once or twice, if anyone has any idea about painting, or something called the 'Fade', but generally he appears to be rather a loner.
At least it's obvious that, if spoken to, he will be particularly polite and generally quite cheerful, for the most part. ]

It is not my way of life, and never will be. What I am, is what I am, and there's no changing that.

Then it is still history. It's still long gone. What good would it do us now? Would it make us any less reviled? Any less ostracised or subjugated?
no subject
It would show us who we were meant to be. That we were to be more than just slaves or wandering tribes; that there was more to us and it is there to be reclaimed.

[He gives a soft scoff. Some of his best friends are humans, he would forever stand by their side. But the race as a whole... ]
We would be seen as a threat, one to be squashed quickly. The current status-quo works too much in their favour for them to allow otherwise.

[ He's steely when he says it. The humans would adapt, as would the dwarves, the Qunari, the Tevinter. He turns his head away, frustrated and on edge now. ]

[Such disdain. Humans are, in his opinion, the least adaptable race in Thedas. As soon as something happens they don't like, they throw their toys out of the pram, and everyone else dies. ]

[ And that's true. He is, generally speaking, rather dour and fatalist, but he has to try to believe that there is hope. That there can be successes. ]

[Tevinter sucked the hope out of him a long time ago. ]

[ If only Fenris was aware of the scale of how awfully things had fallen apart. ]
no subject
And yet you still hope.

[He's run out of Things to Say on that subject matter, so lapses into an awkward silence.]

I'm glad to have had the conversation, even if we do disagree somewhat. Thank you for it.

I-
...You are welcome?
[He still can't place Solas at all, and he doesn't like that. He much prefers to know where he stands with people, what they will present to him. Solas is a mystery.]
