Hello all. I'm Allen Walker, the- [He clears his throat and corrects himself] - rather, one of the Lab Assistants on the S.S. Blue Fish. If you don't usually listen, you may want to- because I'm willing to pay you.

[Yes. That's right. Money.]

Several might have noticed that the medical bays are rather sparse in terms of supplies beyond basic first aid. Atroma says that we can send in requests for medicine, but I'm not sure I'm willing to trust them to have our best interests in mind.

[Weird thing that. But after a moment, he links up a request board database.].

Therefore, I've compiled a supply list of things that'd be useful to have in the medical bays. I know many of you have been doing odd jobs for money, and this is very much the same. You get us the supplies, and I'll pay you. Simple as that. If I get a surplus of any items, I'd be more than happy to share with other medical bays.

If anyone else has things they need that aren't already on the list, they are welcomed to submit their own requests. Though if it's anything not vital to the fleet's health, I do request that the reward be paid out of your own pocket. And if there's anything about a request that seems suspicious, I am allowed to deny it.

Oh, and there's a request list for cooking supplies too - if that's more your thing. [Thanks guys]

Finally, the medical bays are also use fresh blood for the sake of blood transfusions. For people not familiar with the concept, it's a way to prevent people from dying of blood loss.

I'm planning to hold a Blood Drive this Sunday. Any people who donate blood will be given fresh baked cookies and be paid in money or food. I'd also be happy for any volunteers to help with running the blood drive, so please contact me if you're interested! Any vampiric volunteers must be able to have restraint around blood and will not be allowed to sample any donations.

[Which yes, even that last part was said with complete straight-faced sincerity]

Yes. It is golden and sticky, but doesn't do that pulsing thing that happens with blood.

I have been staying on the planet. Because sunlight makes me feel better. [ And a lack of being inside with a angry person who calls him a demon.

... He probably should go and look though. Maybe when he gets enough seedlings he can barely carry them all. ]

That's fascinating. So...are you some sort of sentient plant?

Of course. Well, if you ever get a chance, let me know if there's anything you need in your medical bay. [A beat] Do you have experience with medicine or healing?

I am a Sylvari. [ It should be the answer to the question, but Asteffiel has learned that... it really isn't here. ]

... I think, maybe, if sentient plant isn't just... "you are a walking maple tree", then that would be right? I don't know any purple-bark plants.

I was learning how to be a Mender! A healer for Sylvari, because we're plants instead of flesh. So I know a little.

Ha- not quite. Sentient just means...high forms of intelligence. But alright, Sylvari! I've never met one before.

I see...[hmmmm] I don't suppose you can grow plants too, can you? Er, less sentient ones.

I have been hearing that. We are not that new, so maybe you are from... another of these planets?

Sylvari can't have saplings, so everything I grow would be normal plants? Like carrots or cacti.

Mm. There were only humans on my homeworld. [He thinks about Paradisa...] But oh! I have seen an Ent though! Do you have those on your world?

Oh no, I mean- your augment teaches you basic humanoid first aid, right? But I was wondering if you were more skilled at growing plants than humanoids- like maybe you and your medical bay would be better suited as a place to grow things we can use as medicine.

It doesn't sound familiar. [ Sort of close to Ettin, but not really close at all.. ]

We can grow some things very quickly, like Healing Seeds or Turrets, but those aren't... medicine plants. [ Some more thinking, digging about in what he picked up from his Dream- ]

... Yes I think we can grow things quicker. Cat... Caithe! Caithe made bridges, so herbs should be easy!

Oh...that's too bad. [Oh well, he tried. He really can't think of any other plant species. But he perks up at his answer]

Wonderful! Then..would you like that? To try to set up your medical bay to be more for growing things and plants? It'd probably help a lot.

I can do that! I would need some kind of sun-light, but ... [ ... He's terrible at names, he remembers what the guy looks like but- OH, right! ] Redbird! Redbird said that someone he knows was going to make them.

... and maybe some idea of what medicine plants would be good. I have just been collecting what I think can grow in a little pot.

Redbird...? [He thinks] You mean Robin? Or someone else?

Hmm....I can look into some plants to start with. Ino is really good with flowers, so I bet she'd have some ideas.

... Yes! That one. [ he sucks at names ]

... Do you think that looking at .. the job board, for what the people who make medicines here want for ingredients, would help?

Mm! I'd say it'd definitely help!

I will start with those, then. Or until I get a list. ... Or run out of containers...

[ Leaf-rustling silence for a bit. He's counting them. ]

9! Most of them are cups. I will have to look and see what I can use that is in the ship. .. or jobs to get actual pots.

Hmmm....

[Nine small cup pots doesn't sound very stable]

I think I know just who to ask about that.

[ He grows some leaves into curls to carry what he can't fit in his arms. Getting into town with them all will probably be a problem. ]

Okay! [ he's assuming this means that Allen is going to contact them and ask. ]
